Welcome to Firearms of America! Today, I have another Glock review for you guys and this is Glock 40 generation 4, one of the best 10mm handguns that I had a chance to shoot.
Let's start with the specs:
Caliber: 10mm Auto
Weight (without magazine): 915 g | 32.28 oz
Weight (with loaded magazine):1265 g | 44.62 oz
Mag. Capacity: Standard 15
Barrel Length: 153 mm | 6.02 inch
Length (Overall): 241 mm | 9.49 inch
Trigger Pull: 24 N
So, before starting this Glock 40 review, I was curious to see how it will be able to handle the recoil from 10mm, especially considering that it is in the family of polymer frame pistols. But I have to say, the 6 inch barrel combined with the heavier guide rod do the job just perfectly!
If you are interested to know the difference between Glock gen 3 vs gen 4, you can check that video out on my channel, but one of the main differences is that Glock gen 4 is a Glock 40 MOS, so now you can mount your favorite optics system on it.
Now, there are a few other Glock 10mm models and if you want to conceal carry a 10mm, you can find a Glock 10mm compact and Glock 10mm subcompact models. Although, don't expect it to handle a recoil as good as in this Glock 10mm review.

I’m a Springfield guy, but I love this Glock Gen 4 G40!
I love this gun! Mine is the gen 4 MOS and I installed a Holosun red dot and it’s very accurate even at 100yards + I bought this gun as a side arm while hunting however I conceal carry this Beast sometimes just because I can 🇺🇸🤩

Excellent review! One of my fav 10mm guns.
I don't know which is better, the review or the intro lol but I love the 10mm and yes, 6 inch barrel is the way to go!

The Bear Gun, Glock 40 MOS with the Trijicon, holds 17 rounds with the +2 extension, 18 with one in the pipe obviously. Im confident I could drop an elephant charging at 50 yards lol

Great video. I own the same Glock. Had to send back to Glock for faliure to feed on every other round. They, Glock sent me a "Blue label" back. It has run like a boss with 1200 rds thru.

I love the goal post sights of Glocks. My eyes just pick them up way, way better. Does anyone know if the make a steal version with the goal post and not the 3 dot?

They do indeed make the Glock factory sights in steel. They are on Ebay for about $40 for the front and back sight set.

I have one an It’s such a great gun brotha it just sucks it only has after market 30Rnd mags an they tend to be either hit or miss an not worth the risk due to the price but the gun overall Is just amazing 🤝🤜🏽🤛🏽

What about the Glock 20? And install a G-40 barrel in the G-20. Try it out and do a video on it?
Glock didn’t make a model 40 in Gen 3
The recoil wasn’t the issue. The issue was the size of the grip for the smaller handed females and their ability to get a controlled grip on the gun.

If you don't have a controlled grip on a firearm The recoil is going to most definitely be an issue your statement is counteractive.

You can get a 9x25 Dillon and 357 Sig conversion barrels. Lone Wolf used to make some, but most are hard to find. Barsto has some, but they're expensive.
That kicks, I don’t know if I would enjoy that but I’m also not a man. Lol.

Very useful video, I really appreciated it. If may offer a suggestion, I found it disorienting ( on 2x speed, to be fair) that you were wandering in and out of frame. I think establishing two different Camera frame/angles for shooting, and discussing would go a long way to improve production, without dramatically increasing the work load or expense. Thanks again for highlighting such an interesting pistol.
Left and right swaying is just too much to handle. Learn how to remain stationary!
