I was at a gun store today and noticed just how tiny the Glock 42 really is. It looks more like a deck of cards than a gun, and I kind of want one. .380 can fit in any tiny pocket and even my small 9mm looks huge compared to them. They're still a poor choice for the money, but those .380s sure look fun to own as a featherweight to easily conceal.

Lots of fantastic pistols! Couldn't agree more about training with your carry pistol. I still love my G26.4 definitely one of my favorite pistols but i've gravitated more and more towards Glock 19s for both carry and home defense and train with it constantly. When I need deep concealment still go with my G26 but for the most part the G19 fits me best at least right now but you know how it goes, we all seem to gravitate back to the G26 because it's just that damn good!

I recently got a 26 gen5 and Im glad it doesn’t have rail. Absolutely no need for it. Even for my bedside gun I don’t use a light on it. First off if something goes bump in the night your heart rate it about 200 and you point your weapon with a light on it and it turns out to be a family member coming home late you just point a loaded gun at them. You are breaking one of the 4 safety rules, never point you weapon at something your not willing to destroy. Yeah not a good idea.

That pinkie rest helps a lot with recoil control like the german HK VP 9 SK because ergonomically speaking your pinkie is ferm and the more you get to the another ringers like ringfingers and middle finger must be more relaxed so your shooting trigger finger can be relaxed and focused on trigger manipulations. You can try it yoursef gripping the gun with a ferm pinkie, less ferm ringfinger and even more ferm middle finger to attain that optimal trigger feeling. You can even try to train your pinkie with elastic bands, this would help a lot female shooters or another shooters like me who like shooting compact Glock 32. Here is a good example to google on youtube, there is even a leather ring to improve that pinkie finger: "Typisch bayerisch: das Fingerhakeln | Deutsch lernen mit Videos"

He runs a Glock 22 chambered in .40 and a Colt Python in .357 as his home defence handguns , and a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield in 30 Super Carry for his his concealed weapon, he says that the extra magazine capacity of the 30 super carry was the reason for its purchase. I am now at almost a whole 1,000 rounds with my Hellcat without a single Jam but I have had about a dozen failures to lock back on last shot which I don't consider that big of a deal I don't think that's going to cost me my life, but I'm wondering if the legendary glock 26 is ever known to do this from time to time as well? Glocks are great for the home and range, but carrying them makes you look like you have a truck in your pants.

They're both really good "budget" options. People just have a "made in China" complex even though the majority of business in the US have sold out to them.. Chinas production quality has actually come a long way over the past couple decades

(Possibly) Unpopular Opinion: don’t shoot your carry gun, get yourself another identical one for training. That way your carry gun doesn’t get the wear and tear, you don’t have to constantly be cycling your self defense ammo out, and when you dryfire you’ll have less risk of a ND
