Hi I own a Rotary in ground lift. Has an oil tank..it's a fully hydraulic..my is not unground..it's aboveground now. Since I installed it..I sandblasted everything clean before returning the piston case into the ground..I rolled on do it your self truck bed liner..on it so no rust out..you need to dig a 8 ft hole and leval every thing ..put in new oil in the tank after I replaced the oil line from tank to piston ..and back filled..works like a dream..

Its a Curtis or US. Clean the seal gland at the floor, its should say who made it. I think the lift has a newer head on an older lift. Swinging arms with flip up pads did not come out until late 50's early 60's. The air pipe should go to the bottom of the lift, 8' deep.

You're right on all counts. It is a US Air. I removed the swing arm platform, and it looks like previous owners welded in a plate in the top of the ram to bolt up the more modern platform. I also found the airline break under the floor, and should be an easy fix. Hoping to do another vid soon.
