Global situation today

COVID -19, Update, Wednesday 28th May
Russia
Cases, 379,051
Deaths, 4,142
Doctor F
It is wrong to talk about lockdown in Russia, there is an is emergency mode, quarantine is
part of this
However, this was not introduced, rather than quarantine, a self-isolation regime was introduced
Sometimes called a period of non-working days
The media do not use the word quarantine, to reassure people that everything is in order
The problem is that this self-isolation regime has no legal basis or clear definition
Is much politicized
If an emergency was declared the state would have to support people financially, and they are not prepared to do this, as a result people are forced to work and isolation is broken
Therefore, in effect, no one is self-isolating
In practice, people are not wearing masks in public (despite being mandated in places)

Yandex is the Russian Google, preloaded on most phones
Geolocation pings, compile people movements, and the streets are crowed again
Dagestan
Severely affected
Self-isolation observed
Statistics
Less than accurate
Testing is extremely inadequate
Results sometimes delayed for weeks
Patients released who later turned out to be positive
Tests are poor quality
No exact data, but probably 30% to 50% false negatives
Low CFR / IFR ‘special calculation methodology’
www.interfax.ru/moscow/708487
Even according to official data,
60% of deaths are not included
Diagnosis by pathologist, e.g. pneumonia, sepsis
Post mortem tests take a long time to come back
COVID clinical diagnosis on death certificates discouraged
• «У нас не существует и...

Every day watcher here. Your thoughtful gathering of facts, and quiet delivery of them, - are a service of no small measure - eagerly received by an attentive audience seeking knowledge and understanding of this worldwide pandemic. How quickly this has changed the world, and we are only at the very beginning. Governments and all segments of society are going to be changed forever. Only calm leadership and instruction, such as yours, will get us through without the total collapse of social norms known and followed by the population today. Thank you again ‘Sir John’, please continue this invaluable service.

Dr. Campbell, I've trusted only 2 sources for information during the pandemic, your site and MedCram. Both run by experienced medical people who are reporting facts, not hyperbole or outrageous opinions. I truly appreciate that you are taking time from your day to update, educate and guide us through this mess. Great job! Steve in Pennsylvania USA

Try also watching Dr Chris Martenson(PhD Pathology) on his channel "Peak Prosperity" - he was attacked by the usual idiots for being an "alarmist" back in early Feb when accurately forecasting what was coming for the USA. He's been totally right all the way through & does an excellent job presenting the latest studies & information from the start - for his efforts he was attacked professionally, censored & lied about AND the propagandists at Wikipedia deleted his professional qualifications/ achievements/ academic presentations at Harvard at al/published works including his articles in Nature Magazine AND INSTEAD just falsely described him as a conspiracy. Wikipedia failed to restore his original profile even after it became undeniable that the was 100% correct on his KZread channel from early January onward AND it's this insane approach by Big Tech which epitomizes the failure to contain covid in U.S & U.K in particular

MedCram is pure science from someone actually on the front lines of the fight treating COVID19 patients while trying to meticulously piece together the medical puzzle and the incredibly complex molecular biology involved in the COVID19 disease process. Dr Seheult is spreading that knowledge to Doctors, medical professionals and Hospitals around the U.S. and the world. John Campbell is certainly good at promoting Vitamin D. Sadly the U.K. Government is completely ignoring him and incompetent ministers like Matt Hancock have approved nonsense saying that there is no proof Vitamin D has any benefit on official Government websites. But, to be fair, it's not like the UK Government are even listening to SAGE or their own medical advisors, so completely ignoring John's advice is the least of it.

The benefits of sharing practical analysis and evaluation in a way that most people can relate to will probably never become apparent statistically from the effort you are putting in here but I strongly suspect many people will benefit tangibly from watching your videos. It is very likely, in my view, that you are helping to save lives. That's a powerful cause and a welcomed intervention you've made. I have been watching his videos since Jan/Feb and if it wasn't for him I would not have been nearly as prepared. As a Canadian I wasn't getting very good info back then. Our gov was still telling us that it was no big thing and masks were not helpful. Thanks to this man I new better.

Dr John, you are the voice of reason that I truly appreciate. There are far to many conspiracy theories out there adding confusion and misdirection that become dangerous. Your calm style reminds me greatly of my doctors of my youth, many years ago in rural Wales. I feel fortunate today, after living in the USA for 40 years, I am happily in Mexico. There is a concern though in that Mexico has very low rates of testing and a death curve looking a lot like early days of Spain, Italy and the UK. I hope you will continue your most excellent service to us all.

Whatever, keep up the good work with your videos, I watch them all the time, and they are an interesting source of facts and information that many in the domestic US media don't seem to be able to or indeed want to deliver. Spot on. I think the concept that you could put in a good 13-14 hours of driving heading west out of Dallas on I-20 and end your day still in Texas would blow the mind of most Europeans. The US is best understood by Europeans as 50 countries, most of them larger than the smaller members of the EU. Some of them vastly larger. Geographically, the UK would fit into Oregon. Not a particularly large state. France is the size of Texas, roughly. Another item that confounds Europeans is the origin of our political system. States are primary in the US. The Police Power resides in the States not the Federal Government. So some of the things Dr Campbell laments that we're not doing is not legally within the power of the federal government to do. Of course, we could declare some sort of "emergency" and force something to happen, but that's not the way forward. It would probably do more harm than good. The other thing that could surprise Europeans is that our Constitution was the result of our experience with having a confederation of states immediately after the revolution (American War). The "limited" Federal government was created to do those things that were best done as a united front by all the states rather than individually by each state. That was supposed to be all it did, but much like a virus, governments can and do grow, sometimes out of control.

As an American who lives in Texas, let me say Brian was accurate in his comment that the US is big, diverse and locally independent. This also leads to statements about an "American culture" by non-Americans overly simplistic. The culture and values can vary tremendously region to region. This s the 3 largest country both in terms of area and population. Also, keep it up the good work Dr. Campbell.

Thank you so much Dr. John for your well-researched and well-articulated updates on Covid-19. From the beginning, I have wondered why the governments have not given the leadership our taxes are suppose to support in emergency situations. Finally, I gave up and found that, with exception of South Korea (where I lived for 10 years), Taiwan, New Zealand and Australia, the governments have been and continue to be useless! If they had gotten on to this pandemic immediately, the world would not be in the condition it is today. After giving up on the governments, I realized It is going to be the "everyday" normal people who are going to help bring this world back to its health. And of course, you are one of those people! Thank you so much! Through my contacts and blog I'm passing along the facts that you have researched and hopefully, through everyones' contacts we can unite the common people and successfully do what the governments (and the WHO) are not doing. Please continue your research and video presentations...all the best!

Korean-American living in Korea right now. We're experiencing what it's like to go through a "second wave" firsthand here. Some more details to what Dr. Campbell is saying. Basically, a warehouse in our city of Bucheon for Coupang (basically the Amazon of SK) became a virus cluster when more than 80 positive cases were confirmed within just a couple of days. Despite the C-19 laws, apparently its cafeteria continued to have over 300 employees eating next to each other without social distancing. Many of the relatively young & health workers also were asymptomatic. The health officials found the virus everywhere, from the packing rails, floor linings, bathrooms, etc. In response, the government re-issued some of the more stricter social distancing policies today. It also "strongly suggested" avoiding any public establishments for the next 2 weeks. The governor of Gyunggi Province shut down the said warehouse until further notice. Elementary & middle school openings have been delayed to middle of the June. This sucks for us personally. We've heavily relied on Coupang & Market Kully (a big grocery delivery service) ever since the outbreak while avoiding the supermarkets. We'll now shop at local mini-marts & traditional markets instead. It also means continuing to not ride the lone elevator in our building, as the delivery services use it along with the residents.

So far S. Korea seem to have competently dealt with any of their outbreaks. So it seems anyway. I fear however that the UK will not manage these sorts of cluster incidents as efficiently as Koreans have. They’re still not fully operating the track and trace app, people aren’t wearing masks. Worrying to say the least!

John, Thank you for being my consistent source for what is going on with COVID 19, what I need to do to protect myself. I have been watching you since February, every day. A couple of good friends of mine also watch you for your excellent, evidenced based instruction. We joke with each other: "Have you seen John today?" I am a healthcare worker and had to go out to do homecare when the Shelter in place orders were called in Santa Rosa, CA. The information that you shared was a lifeline to me, so that I would know how to best protect myself when I went out to see my patients, and also has given me solid, evidenced based, thoughtful information for me to share with my patients. Your presentation has been one that I could absorb, where other info coming my way about COVID was overwhelming. You have instructed us in ways to protect ourselves and stop the spread in a calm and caring manor. I love all of the sayings that help us remember concepts: "Two meters distance determines our existence." among others. You have often said something, like the importance of Vitamin D weeks before I hear it from other sources. I appreciate you giving us your time, and sharing your experience, knowledge and the info from your career as a nurse and educator. I also love your broccoli soup. Thank you for all that you do, and how you communicate it in terms that are easy to understand. I also really appreciated you sharing the Depression and the Anxiety screens, and you sharing about yourself. I know that you are and have been the type of healthcare provider and instructor that makes people feel comfortable. I’m in Calgary, Canada 🇨🇦 have been isolating with my husband, daughter & son in law and their newborn daughter since March 8. A son is a health & safety physician here as well as an internist. Another son is a paramedic. Both on front lines but so far are well. Canada is doing a good job overseeing the pandemic but people are getting restless 😬 Best wishes to you John. Keep well.

Dear Dr. John Campbell, I have been watching you videos every day since December 2019. I deeply appreciate the love and care you put into each video. You are truly a man of integrity and have helped many people during this World Pandemic. I tell all my friends, family and clients if they want calm evidence based research to watch your videos. Ignore the trolls. They are jealous. I am sending love and hugs from Washington State, USA, Jeanne of In Loving Hands Counseling and ASMR.

Hello John, I watch you every day , If you make more than one tube a day then I’m back for the bonus content too. I’m in France and without your selfless service I would never know as much about the virus and it’s spread, your input is invaluable, I really would like to say a big thank you for all the work you’re doing to keep us informed. My Vitamin D arrived today, I wasn’t slow in ordering it, I was convinced your were right in recommending it but the biggest online shop was forced to suspend it’s deliveries here! Anyway thank you again 👏👏👏👏

For every troll you have many more people who appreciatte what you do. I have underlying conditions that would make my life a nightmare if I caught it, so I have been self isolating for a while now and even when restrictions ease I will still isolate, as I think some politicians are giving in to public pressure. Anyway I watch your videos daily for my updates and thank you for doing them.

John we are truly, truly appreciative of you compassionate, consistent, clear guidance throughout this pandemic. Apart from the calm, objective explanations that you give us, we appreciate that you provide hope that if we can hold on for the long haul there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for what you do. My husband and I will keep you in our prayers everyday. Thanks again!

I believe you are incredibly understated in your thoughts and emotions. Also that you do your best to provide facts as you understand them. I believe KZread does not financially compensate ANYONE who speaks about Corona ergo, thank you Doc. I've felt nothing but rational, intellectual analysis from your channel. Again, thank you
