Doesn't Jerusalem mean "foundation of peace," @One For Israel, and is peace found in today's world? So if you are praying for Jerusalem don't limit your prayers to the piece of earth with the word meaning "foundation of peace" but for "a new foundation of peace" for the entire world.

Are you reading the scriptures yourself or is someone teaching you what's in them,@@morneterblanche3459,because there's to many Prophetic types that reveals two Jewish Messiahs with the first called "Rod of Jesse's stem" and the other "a Branch of Jesse's Roots" both in Isaiah 11 with the Branch to appear after the Jews' 1948 return to Jerusalem. Because Revelation 5:5-12s Branch was written in 90AD it was after Jesus had ascended so he has yet to manifest. I believe you should read the Bible for yourself asking God to teach you it's meaning.

Those churches are cults man made and have no idea what the Scriptures say. Some can't discern between Jew and gentile. Like the tribulation it's for the Jewish people and the unsaved not for Christian's we are gone. It's Daniel's 70th week and the time of Jacob's trouble. The antichrist sets himself up as the messiah. Then half way through the devil enters into him and he becomes the man of sin. Like what happened to judas iscariot who betrayed Jesus. He turns on the Jewish people and they hide in the mountains and are protected by God. The unsaved then are given a choice receive the mark of the beast 666 or be beheaded. The Lord Himself will then return with us His Saints and destroy the enemies of Israel at the battle of Armageddon. I am saying this because of false teaching that are against the Scripture that teaches pretrib rapture. They are apostate preachers. We are living in the dispensation of apostate preaching and churches. Be careful they will try and deceive the very elect. The devil has free reign when Christians leave before the tribulation we take the Holy Spirit with us. That's holding him back as of now

@@kacywhite My sister, I believe there is misunderstanding. We’ve been accepting and loving Jesus since the Church began. Read the earliest Catholic writers, like St Ignatius of Antioch (died 108, ordained by the apostles) and Justin Martyr (died about 155. Both martyrs actually). I believe like they do. You won’t find deeper lovers of our Lord than our saints. That said, most Catholics haven’t learned and experienced the riches of their own faith. Sadly, like the Jews, they were given a wonderful heritage of faith, but it hasn’t been received into their life experience. Like a gift never opened. A.W. Tozier, an Evangelical, wrote a book filled with beautiful Catholic insights. (THE PURSUIT OF GOD) . He just omitted to mention that they were by Catholic saints, lest he lose his audience. We can learn from and enrich one another. We worship with some Protestant music. Most Protestants have sung ancient Catholic hymns by St Bernard of Clairvaux or “Faith of our Fathers” by Fr Faber. We love and serve the same Lord! As for “praying”, again, I believe there is misunderstanding. We worship only God. Most Protestants, due to a recent development of the English word “pray”, associate this exclusively with worship. That’s not what we do. We ask our brothers to pray for us (as scripture exhorts). It’s right to intercede for others, right? (What we’re doing here for Israel!) Believing that there is only ONE Body of Christ, made up of all, of those on earth and in heaven, we feel free to ask our perfected heavenly brothers to also pray with and for us. (We honor them as our heroes of the faith, but never worship them). True, asking for their intercession is part of our oral tradition, but we consider scripture as the written part of tradition and want to obey St Paul’s exhortation to hold to both (2 Thess 2:15 & I Cor 11:2). Rev 5:8 and 8:3-4 show that those in heaven participate in presenting our prayers to God. Why did God choose to insert these heavenly friends in the intercessory process of prayer? Perhaps their greatest joy, part of their heaven, is helping us in prayer by interceding. Maybe our intercession, as a “kingdom of priests” is a heavenly thing? Grace and peace and everything enriching be yours.
