This tutorial walks you through the making of the Gloam Cardigan by Caitlin Hunter of Boyland Knitworks. It is a start to finish tutorial focusing on the techniques used in the pattern such as Casting On in the middle of a project, the notoriously confusing Wrap & Turn stitch, Chart work, Seaming, Picking Up Stitches, the HiyaHiya Stretchy Bindoff and more.

    What was helpful to me was the explanation of the increases and why a pattern would call for one and not the other. I was constantly using yarn overs and wondering why my raglan sleeves did not mirror the pattern. I now laugh at myself

    Thank you for such an informative tutorial. I have only knitted blankets and now I am knitting my first sweater. For your adjustment of the shawl collar, you stated your did 7 inches. I would like to know was it 7 inches for the entire collar? Did you do any wraps and turns for the part around the neck? Thanks again, as I will be viewing your other tutorials.

    It says to do rows 3 and 4 9 times for mysize do I keep moving it 4 stitches before the last wrap? Thanks

    So the rows get shorter and shorter as the W&t moves in?

    @@heathermuir9207 Yes - and then you pick up the wraps and go back to doing the complete rows.
