The item will disappear from the player's inventory once the player inserts the tape into the tape player, which is located in the Principal's office. This is especially useful if the player is in detention, as that is when the player is usually the most vulnerable to getting caught by Baldi especially when detention lasts for 99 seconds and there are no other items to escape from this location. However, Baldi may enter the Principal's office while the sound is playing if Baldi decides to head to the office while wandering around.[1] When the sound from this item is done playing, Baldi will be able to hear sounds. Brooo i haven't seen someone play this since like.. 2019 or 2017 im glad you played this glitch!!♡

The tape makes Baldi deaf for some time, so he cannot hear you open doors, but it is only useful if you are out of his sight, so if he does not see you, Baldi will just start wondering around trying to find you, but if he does see you, then he will chase you until you’re out of his sight or you get caught. To lose Baldi and get out of his sight, you have to turn around multiple corners without him seeing you, but if it’s through a door, he will hear you, unless you turned on his least favorite tape in the principal’s office, or use a quarter on the phone, which works just like the tape
