Man, much respect. I watched this Glenville football team defeat my Alma Mater, Van Wert, in the Division IV, Region 14 Championship. They went on to win the Division IV State Championship, their first one ever and after watching this and all that they have gone through, they truly deserved it! So happy for those kids

For the people saying your school would smack them... You're missing the point of the story. Ted Ginn started the program to help kids with opportunities. This story unfortunately is done about a decade to late. Glenville now gets dumped on by many teams whereas a few years ago they produced Division 1 talent and NFL talent every year and were an actual power house. None the less, great story

Amazing coach and person. A highschool scoreboard to some coaches means everything and that causes student athletes future to suffer. A very beautiful speech after that Euclid game.

My HS Alma Mater Cleveland Glenvllle's Legendary GodFather of Track, was my Educator/FatherFigure/Friend/Coach Robert "Bump" Taylor (Glenville's playing field's named sake) helped save & protect our lives getting us from the 'hood (The Ville) into colleges as Track Athletes into The Ohio State University, MSU, OU, Villanova, Akron, CSU, Ivy league Brown, etc. and onward into productive men. Thus being the precusor setting the standard passed on and embodied in the great Educator/FatherFigure/Friend Coach Ted Ginn, Sr. as a discipline molder of boys to men (who I am prould to also now welcome as my Ωmega Psi Phi Fraternity Brother) who has took it to another level. These Great Men and all their many assistants along the way understood old adage “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” THANK YOU ~ Bump (R.I.P.), Roo Bro. Ginn, Sr and to ALL! The legacy continues....proud of these young men/GV brotherhood past/present/future.....GGGooo Glenville TARBLOODERS...4LIFE!

Sometimes I feel discouraged by inner city violence at the hand of those who prey on our young lambs like savage beasts. They are tares among the wheat, wolves among the sheep. One day in eternity the lion will lay down with the lamb in peace and on one accord. Until then, I pray God will raise up more men like Mr. Ginn to save our lambs from these savage wolves, or save them from becoming a pack of wolves themselves.

Schools like really teach those class clowns with a 1.0 GPA thinking they life is set cuz they going to the league. You ain't even know how to spell league with that knowledge 😂 Most (if not all) athletes in my school should learn from this.
