The Goldberg Variations, BWV 988, is a musical composition for keyboard by Johann Sebastian Bach, consisting of an aria and a set of 30 variations. First published in 1741, it is named after Johann Gottlieb Goldberg, who may also have been the first performer of the work.

I tend to feel that anyone who doesn't like Gould's Bach either doesn't like Bach, or fails to appreciate the huge issues with electing to play his works on the piano, and instrument for which they were not written - issues to which Gould's sometimes radical approach offers solutions.

Ho sempre apprezzato Gould. Quello che però traspare da questa ripresa video è fosse in pianista da vedere oltre che da ascoltare. In più, tra gestualità e suono spesso non c'è coerenza, si nota un certa piattezza.
ouh là, un peu fatigué, il y a une petite note à la main gauche qu'on n'entend pas à 0'35s. Mais bon globalement, cette interprétation des Goldberg est stratosphérique.
un café serré avant de jouer, cela aurait été utile.
