She used to date Andy gibb lief garret ,and others before she hooked up with Glen.She was already well versed in coke,.Thst being said she wasn't ever addicted to it .Probably didn't jump up on her until Glenn busted out his fat sack with her

Tanya snorted plenty of blow before Glen Campbell entered her life. When she came on the music scene in 1972 there was already plenty of cocaine use in the country music industry. I wouldn't say either one of them corrupted the other in any sense with regards to drugs or morals. They had both been around both sexually and with recreational substances. A lot of people think her younger age and him twice her age at the time they got together makes him the bad guy. Not many women could keep up with him - but Tanya could and did at least for a while until they exploded and went full on public hate mode for one another for decades. Folks tend to forget she was already into hard partying long before Glen came along. She and Johnny Rodriguez toured together for years, and they were romantically linked when she was still in her teens, and it was well known in the country music scene Johnny loved to party and have a good time and he was a big fan of cocaine. Being big Eagles fans wasn't all they had in common. I knew her guitarist and mandolin player who played with her touring band for years and he was her bandleader. He's on her records and his name was Jerry, and he could tell stories about all of this stuff, but he kept it mostly to himself. He was no angel back then either and to hear him tell it the Eagles had nothing on them in terms of piles of blow everywhere backstage, on the bus, in the hotel rooms, in the studio - there was white powder everywhere, "It looked like a nursery, with piles of baby powder all over the place, except it wasn't baby powder - it was cocaine! And it wasn't just the band, it was the crew, the roadies and all the people who are involved with the band to put on a tour. She always acted like she was one of us. She never acted like she was any better or acted like she had some kind of star complex. We were a family. She was right there packing her nose right along with the rest of us."

Man I have a great memory and I remember in the early 70's when she came out with Delta Dawn there were rumors of Glen Campbell dating her as a minor, I can remember my mom talking about how terrible it was and this was way before the 80's anyone else remember this?

Glen didn’t have a good track record with women. She’s was young & impressionable. She loved him & still does.

I really think they had such an Electricity together in the early 80s. Their performances were Electrifying and you could tell how much they loved each other by the way they looked at each other he was always holding her on stage a lot I really enjoyed them singing together and someone recently has posted a full concert of Glen in Reno in 1980 and Tanya comes out and they do about 5 songs together which were amazing the early 80s were my favorite of Glens. But as time went on it all worked out like the Lord seen fit Glen married Kim they had many years together and 3 kids and Tanya went on to have 3 kids of her own and when Glen Passed Tanya was so thoughtful even dedicated a song to him called Forever Loving You so it all worked out. God Speed Glen and may Tanya continue to have good health too.

Let's tell it like it was..Glen needed Tanya to stay revelant.,He was dried up and into heavy drugs and sadly he Bamboozeled that Beautiful, Talented young lady who was so kind,caring and loving! Make no mistake about who was the most talented and classy among the Two Of Them..Whacked Glen didn't say anything kind or Being Thankful for that beautiful, talented, fantastic Entertainer Tanya Tucker! She never ever said anything bad about Glen .. She is one classy lady and in spite of him ruining some of best youthful years of her life, She never had an unkind word to say about him ....however. the world knew then and now who the real classy Entertainer was of the Two and hoped she would stop. Look and listened then kick him to the curb. Shame on anyone who thinks anything else of that relation ship.

For him to blame her is bullshit!!

THEIR LOVE STORY SHOULD BE MADE INTO A MOVIE. IT WAS 2 BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE LIVING THEIR LIVES THE WAY THEY WANTED TO.. BOTH GOOD LOOKING AND VERY TALENTED.. IT WAS A HOT WILD LOVE WITH PLENTY OF ACTION. THERE MUST HAVE HAD VERY TENDER MOMENTS ALSO. . THE PUBLIC SHOULD DEMAND THE MOVIE.....MOVIE MOVIE MOVIE GLEN SHOULD HAVE MARRIED HER ...THINGS USUALLY FALL INTO PLACE..........

I just discovered your channel and love the material you cover. It's nice that a younger person appreciates the great country artists of the past (not that I'm that old, but older than you).

A very sad story..saw her in a recent interview .she still loves him..even after his death.😢😢

Tanya and Glenn relationship is a perfect example of when you’re young and you mistake great sex for love. She was 20 having sex with a 42 year old man. It happens. Moving forward, just remember the good times you had.

Lol! Great way of putting it!

One of my favorite stories involving Glen & Tanya was the time they were playing shows at the Houston Rodeo back in 1982 or '83. They had broken up, but both booked there with many great country artists including George Strait, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Merle Haggard and the Strangers, Bob Wills Original Texas Playboys (under the direction of Leon McAuliffe), Asleep at the Wheel and other acts. I knew various musicians in the Gatlin's band (their fiddle player), Hag's Stranger's (over half the band), and the Texas Playboys (I knew all of the guys in the band who were there) as well as a couple guys with the Wheel. This was an all-weekend event attended by well over 100,000 fans and the bands were all staying at the huge Holiday Inn just down the road from the venue. Somehow Tanya and Glen got together in a hotel room, there was lots of drinking, lots of coke snorted, wild sex and then things got ugly evidently because they destroyed the room and everything in it. They fought in the room, down the stairs, out in the parking lot, punching each other, kicking, yelling and screaming, spitting and cursing and Glen got on his bus and started to leave. Tanya, wild as a minx got in her tour bus and chased after Glen with it trying her best to run him over! In pursuit of Glen's bus, she drove her bus into the big swimming pool there at the Holiday Inn waking up the entire hotel full of guests at 3AM. The cops came and the fire department was called as well as paramedics because she nearly drowned in her own bus because it quickly sank, and it quickly began to fill with water, and she could not get the door opened. Firemen got her out thru the windshield which they had to break in order to rescue her. Glen escaped without injury or incident and was nowhere around when the cops came. She was treated for cuts and bruises she sustained mostly from her violent fighting with Glen. This story made the news briefly, but everyone was bored by Tanya and Glen stories by then.

I’m sorry but guilty call me silly but I find Glen Campbell and Tanya Tuckers volatile 15 month relationship exciting to hear about . I heard Glenn Campbell‘s wife saying in an interview, in a very snappy voice, she described them as having a “hot five minutes”. I hardly call 15 months a hot five minutes. That was a relationship regardless. At least Tanya, adult now is not too proud to say Glenn was the love of her life. So sad it didn’t work out because they were a beautiful couple..on the outside at least. Drugs and alcohol will always ruin anything beautiful. I wouldn’t be surprised if not for the substance abuse they might still be together today. Not sure if anyone’s aware of this but even after meeting and dating his current wife, he still snuck away to see Tanya a few more times. They had an amazing chemistry. Eventually Glen called it quits. But the history of their magical and sometimes volatile love affair will always remain history. “Glen & Tanya”

She said on Dan Rather interview 2016 that Campbell knocked out her two front teeth and she considered him the great love of her life.

He is the older,44 years old and she was only 22 years old a beautiful young lady, I think I admire her alot more as I never knew he almost overdosed that is awful,well they were kinda addicted in areal toxic way ,damn that's awful oh he didn't trust Tanya well he was not so great and alot damn older,well she did mature and those drugs and drinking is infinity 💔 😔 😢 for anyone ,nothing can live in that,but you put any two people ,addiction to the sex and ohhj my well I listened to Tanya the other day she sang a song dedicated to Glehn Campbell and dedicated to Alzheimers research,so Glehn Campbell passed away and Tanya Tucker is still Beautiful ,never married probably wise and people still adore her,best wishes Tanya and Glenn Campbell's family and friends

I was a kid when they were a power couple, but I would always here, Rhinestone Cowboy, on the radio. Hearing about them later it looks like it was a coked up SL, with great chemistry. I never really remember her on the radio, but my teenage boyfriend later had a crush on her.

I don’t know how you reached that conclusion because it was Glen who was the major star with many accolades. They both were strong personalities with addictions. Both were bad for each other. She claimed he was extremely jealous of her. Why do you believe he or rich off her, when he was known of world-wide?🤔

It takes 2 to tango, I know, but in Glen's book he says his relationship w/Tanya was like "poison". That doesn't sound like love on either side in my book. Glen Campbell does admit he struggled w/cocaine & alcohol but wasn't a regular user. & let's not forget that no matter how Kim treated Glen in his later years, in the beginning thay Kim allowed God to use her to help Glen get off alcohol. She enlisted the help of corporate (church) prayer, very biblical! God changed Glen's life & I believe in the end he knew the God of his childhood as his Savior, the God he sought to worship @ a church down the road because his own church didn't allow music. This part is also in Glen's book. As for favorite songs for me: "Gentle On My Mind" & "Rhinestone Cowboy". I got to see Glen Campbell many times in the late '80s/early '90s in Reno, Nevada & Branson, Missouri @ the Grand Palace. This was when the Jeff Dayton Band (great band!) performed w/Glen & his daughter Debby would do duets w/him. This was also before he was diagnosed w/Alzheimer's. .Best performances of Glen during this time period! I still like Debby Campbell's singing & Ashley Campbell's singing also! You go ladies! Prayers are with you! Hope to see you in Massachusetts sometime!

Glen ended up in JAIL in Dubuque Iowa... DRUNK ! He missed his concert and made a LOT of enemies. His popularity was in the trash.

Never knew.

Tanya was the best of the two and still is God bless her.

Glen Campbell was twice her age and should not be pitied for having an affair with a girl that could have been his daughter, he knew full well what he was getting into….why its the woman who causes a man to go astray.. from what I understand, he had an affair with Mac Williams, wife, and married her, and then divorced her… I kind of think that this depiction of their life is biased towards feeling bad for Glen Campbell not that that should take away from his talent and abilities as a singer… People make choices and it’s not just one-sided in a relationship.

All history that I did not know......nor much care. But I totally enjoy Ashley's singing........ Was Tanya her mother? I'm way out of the loop, if this is obvious one way or another.

Of course he got more attention with her! He settled for a woman that stayed home out of the spotlight taking his abuse. His last mousy wife put up with his shit and ended up with his money while staying home with no talent as a co- dependant.
