I would have loved to see Sam and Blaine date for a little while. Bisexual Sam was something I really wanted. I feel like Bisexuality was something that didn't get enough attention.

I just went through the entire series for the first time this past month, and god is this such a mood......the handful of times bisexuality was brought up, it was played off as a joke/not real and it irked me as a bi person haha. I'm sitting here like.....they made this whole show about teaching tolerance so why is it so hard to add accepting bisexuality to everything else lolol. Anyways I really would've loved them to date for a little bit, too.

I feel like Sam handled that well

This scene is made even better when you remember that Sam is a Christian, was part of the God Squad, and attends the same church as Quinn. Sam could have easily just turned Blaine away, but he decided to show him love and compassion. And that’s really sweet.

@@ellahickle5530 The church Quinn and her family attended are the performative Christianity type (as in the "look the part, but don't do anything of actual substance" type). Basically, Sam is a good person in spite of his specific church and congregation plus the town itself being very homophobic

This is why I love Sam. Most people would be creeped out or weird about this, but he didn’t. He didn’t try to make Blaine feel bad or uncomfortable and he’s such a good friend for that.

I love sam for this, i feel like so many guys have this uncomfortableness for gay guys and i have no idea why. I love how sam handled this and made him comfortable, theres nothing wrong with someone liking you of the same gender its just like the opposite gender liking you except they have the same genitals. They are still friends its just that Blaine understands that sam wont like him

I love them so much, they are always on the run when they are together, like 2 little kids always running, such a healthy love. I love Blaine and Kurt of course they are soulmates but this relationship is even more tender and pure, Blaine accepted that that is never gonna happen and Sam accepted to love Blaine as his friend no matter what. I love them so much. Sam is my favorite character of the seines,

Probably the best thing that season 4 and 5 gave us was Blam. You wouldn't think they would become best friends because the first thing Blaine does when he arrives at McKinley is offending Sam. But i really liked this friendship just as a friendship, it was cool to show this kind of friendships without any romantic insinuation

I’m so pissed they didn’t explore this

im genuinely so impressed witht the writing and acting in this scene. really well done and sweet! consider my expectations happily diverted

The storyline of Blaine having a crush on Sam may have been stupid, but this scene provided a very sweet resolution to that

Nah, I think the storyline worked because it showed that you can have an incompatible orientation crush but so long as you are respectful (aka DON'T be that asshole who tries to convert the other/DON'T be that asshole who doesn't take no for an answer/DON'T be an asshole to someone who has a crush on you), the friendship remains. If anything, this storyline made me sympathize with Blaine because yeah, no wonder he got a crush on someone as sweet and supportive as Sam! I would too!

I thought it was fine. If Blaine handled his crush on Sam like Kurt handled his crush on Finn, then sure. But Blaine just had an attraction and a spark and that was it. Totally realistic and normal. Don’t see the issue.

Bisexual Sam was wasted potential, especially since Chord was originally hired to be Kurt’s love interests. Instead they just bounced him around relationship to relationship to see what stuck and none of them did.

love their friendship so much, sam was such a great character, such a great friend, and such a great ally too. i wish blam happened, as a couple and not just a friendship. don't get me wrong, i love them, their friendship is the cutest, but they would've been THE couple of the show.

These two weren’t there from the start. But they were Season 2’s best additions.

the fact that sam was supposed to be kurts love interest but chord and dianna had chemistry so they gave sam to quinn and wrote blaine for kurt. also blaine and kurt werent orginally supposed to be characters. chris auditoned for artie but the writers liked the idea of a gay kid so they wrote Kurt just for chris

I like Blam, but they’re the Walmart version of Furt. Say what you want, but their friendship was more realistic. Blam’s sugar coats it all too much as not all people would have been accepting about this. It’s good that Sam is, don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t feel real.

I think the point is to show different perspectives, tho. I think having both the Finn/Kurt dynamic and the Sam/Blaine dynamic is good because it's mirroring how IRL you can run into folks who warm up to being more accepting, or you can encounter people who'll be accepting on the spot, no questions asked. People are different.

so in your opinion all gay men are predatory and in Finn hudson's words for Kurt don't understand "no means no". I think there are a lot of gay men like Blaine who wouldn't obsess over straight men even if secretly like them. Blaine didn't wanna make Sam uncomfortable and he was still in love with Kurt. Sam was just an innocent crush.
