This is not far from reality actually. I've run a Glee club for two years now. Students know there's a Glee Club. They don't hate it but they don't love it either. It's like they acknowledge it's existence but nothing else lol I often have friends from kids in the Glee club during rehearsals because they are waiting for their friends and they mostly get bored and end up leaving the room. But when the Glee club have their music performances and especially the annual musical, the other students go and enjoy every number. They clap enthusiastic but they never cross the line to approach them and say "You were great" or "Wish I joined the Glee club". The ones who congratulate are the Glee kids' friends. And I often receive more feedback than them and it's very weird because my club knows what the school thinks of their performance 'cause I told them after a very informal survey that I do at least twice a month lol

YummyYummyDeadCow I do see how the seniors won nationals in season 3, it was very entertaining and well put all together. everyone got a good amount of screen time and it was Cory (Finns) best performance on Glee. I think vocal adrenaline was only using Unique in the number and not revolving around everyone else’s talents.

They wouldn’t shut up about this episode during the Super Bowl which also aired on Fox. Glee was airing right after. So I stuck around, and watched my very first episode of Glee. After all, it was THRILLER! I didn’t understand why they sang Thriller along with Heads Will Roll, a song which I never heard of. Damned if it didn’t work though! That night, I learned what a mash up was and instantly became fan of the show. Edit: Ok, so discovering what a Mash-Up was didn’t make me an instant fan. It had all to do with my shock at watching an episode of Glee! I mean, what the heck was I watching?! Sue Sylvester was super politically incorrect and I loved it! The singing was outstanding as was the choreography! I didn’t know any of the characters, but damned if I wasn’t rooting for them by the end of the episode. Besides, Glee kept me current on music and slang. 🤷🏼‍♀️😆

I honestly used to be so mad at Karofsky for pulling all the things he pulled throughout the first few seasons and then just being allowed to jump in whenever he wanted, but you gotta admit that his smile when he realizes that he would be cheered on if he did the number, and being welcomed with open arms and dancing with such a huge smile is so adorable. I honestly love the Glee Club's unspoken "no questions asked" when people come back even after fights. It's sweet. I don't fully get it but it definitely shows a sense of family. I love that Karofsky grew so much and I adore his smile in this video

To me, it's that and the high five-thing, don't know what it's called, with Finn.

Here's what I could never figure out about Glee. When the gang would sing and perform and dance so wonderfully, all the student body would cheer and (somewhat) dance along. These "kids" were obviously so talented and made people feel good when they were performing. So why were they portrayed as misfits and get slushies thrown at them all the time? Why did their peers love them during performances but have disdain for them the rest of the time? Doesn't make sense.

I've run a glee club for 2 years now and something similar happens. The difference is that these TV show exaggerated their students feelings towards glee club. I don't think the rest of the school hate the Glee Club but they don't love it either. They acknowledge its existence but they enjoy their performances. And nothing else. And I think that has a lot of sense because they think that glee club kids are just the same as them so idolizing them as pop stars feels lame. So they have this attitude like "you're great, I enjoy every one of your performances but I'm not joining the Glee Club and I'm not going to be starting a fans club for you" LOL.

halestorm72 This actually came out on the same day when the 2011 Super Bowl occurred. The Super Bowl's halftime show was not only really disappointing, but also boring and lackluster. Glee's "halftime show" really made my day at that time in 2011.

VALERY HORRUITINER why can’t my school have a show choir as talented as glees. We barely have 6 kids in our choir. I would kill to be in a production like this.

In high school band we did this song for homecoming was my favorite one we ever did, did dance moves to its harder than it looks with instruments. This song reminds me of that and I laugh every time

Because he went to Dalton Academy with Blaine. x

2018 ...and still one of the best performances ever.

I got goosebumps throughout this performance

this is by far my favourite glee performance idk why it's so underrated THIS SLAPS

THIS is high level camp and theatrically at its finest!!!

This has got to be one of the best performances from glee. SO GOOD

This whole thing is amazing but honestly, the best part is when Karofsky runs out onto the field and he's welcomed and he has fun and thoroughly enjoys it and finally gets what theatre is all about
