HeMo wasn't originally in the cast of Glee - that's why in the pilot she's not in any of the scenes with Dianna and Naya. They brought her in to teach Kurt the "Single Ladies" dance since she did it with Beyonce, and they liked her so much that they gave her the "3rd cheerleader" part, which wasn't even fully developed yet. She's been dancing since she was little, and I'm so happy she did this number...with SANTANA!

One thing I really appreciate about this performance is how Brittany changed the pronoun from the original to "I need a woman who'll take a chance," signifying that tho Brittany's bi, her song is dedicated solely to her lady lover, which is Santana. This is so nice cos I noticed that they don't usually change pronouns in Glee covers, even in Klaine's songs. Even when Finn sings Just the Way You Are to Kurt, he still sticks to the original lyrics.

Finn probably didn’t change his lyrics because he’s techincally also singing just the way you are to Rachel and his mom at the same time he is singing it to Kurt. And it was probably also more for Carole since Finn Tried to get Kurt to join in on the singing of it it was probably suppose to be a duet present between Kurt and Finn as step brothers for Carole.

@@dorsaldestroyer.c2875 It kind of made sense to me, first of all it's a Whitney song so since Heather isn't a singer first and foremost it made sense to have someone do the "heavy lifting" where required. Second of all she wanted to dance with someone who loved her, even changing the lyrics to indicate that she was singing about Santana. I actually loved it.

Fun fact: Heather wasn’t supposed to dance “half the choreo” in this but since shes a hardcore badass dancer she fought to be included and asked to have different shoes and shorts so she can dance and roll on the floor with the cheerios. And Im rly glad she did. She dances so beautifully and gracefully as always ❤️😍

@aver8730 aver8730 it’s probably also because she was taught how to at some point just like Naya was probably also taught how to dance in heels at some point for glee itself since Heather has been dancing since she was 2. It’s a lot like if someone knows how to walk in heels they can eventually also learn how to dance in heels.also a lot of heels are specially designed/made for Dancing, it’s also why a lot of people dance in heels at weddings so you’d be correct to an extent in a way especially with Heather being a former back up dancer to Beyoncé and being a back up dancer for a lot of movies and projects outside of glee since Heather Morris is also a random back up dancer for the Ravens Home Remix Epsoide on Disney Channel, a lot of professional dancers usually know how to dance in heels for good reasons like you said sometimes dancing in heels is needed plus Heather clearly knows how to walk in heels without any problems dancing is also somewhat different in some ways yes but it doesn’t mean it can’t be done espeically not if certain people have had dancing lessons while being in heels. And glee was about a chorus theatre group of mistfit kids so it would make a lot of sense that certain characters would need to know how to dance in heels. Plus as long as the heels on the back aren’t too extremely high to walk in/dance in then dancing in heels can defientely be done either way.
