GLC Mercedes How to wire LED illuminated star
Installed on a 2019 Mercedes GLC 63 AMG with the distronic plus system.
There’s plenty of info on Mercedes C series but very little on wiring for the GLC!!! It took some time finding a 12 volt source to tap into for switched power, while avoiding the CANBus and other fancy parts of the Mercedes intelligent headlights. The daytime running light DRL fade on and off, even switching to orange for the blinkers and I wanted to avoid mutilating any factory wiring. I hop this helps others!

Hello, can you please send me the video on how to remove the Mercedes star before installing this.
Just tried this method, I appreciate your detailed DYI. With that said, I want to rewire mine so that it is synced with my day time running lights.. (trying to see which fuse or wire I need to tap into.. confusing as I'm a NOOB) I find the illuminated star stays on for about 45 seconds after the car is locked and the day light led light goes off... if anyone can help me with instructions on how to get mine synced up with the led day time running light, it would be much appreciated!
What happened if the star get wet from the rain, does individual LED lights go out until it dries. Can you test this with squirting, some water from a water bottle why the light is on and get back to me. Thanks.
