@@KaransPotsAndGlass And yet.....many schools in CA have as many students, even the so-called Arts Magnet school my kids went to, and they are NEVER this well stocked and organized! Good job, teacher!

I know it wasn't meant to sound the way this statement comes off, but.... Why does it seem like people think everything should be better in Cali than in Ohio. BTW- I live in Cali. Back to the subject at hand- Karan you are an amazing teacher!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for your time.

Art teacher here looking for a useful video to refresh my glaze knowledge, as it's been a few years since I was in a school with a working kiln. All I can say is, wow. Absolute goldmine of a video. Don't think they covered half of this in my undergrad ceramics course. Everything about this video and your studio is inspirational as an Art Educator. Kudos.

This studio is amazing. Can see a lot of love and hard work was at play to build it. Faith in humanity restored.

thanks Karan...love teaching and learning. (retired educator after 43 yrs) Recently bought wheel and kiln after taking a couple of classes. You are now teaching me in a detailed way. So good!!

great teacher and school, giving livelihood and hobby, i do not think this much information in 28 minutes is given by anyone.

We are all jealous we did not have you as an art teacher in HS! Paper mache was as exciting as it got. Thank you and thanks to Mason High for sharing this - it is EXACTLY what I needed. The pdf is absolutely wonderful. I opened a second browser and watched them side by side. I too was amazed at your organization. I had Uni of Cincinnati art teachers when I first started (now in Fl) and they were not nearly as organized or as helpful. You were so good during COVID too. I didn't have a wheel /kiln back then but I watched faithfully and so glad I did. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

This is such a great video! Thanks so much for posting it. There are so many ceramics videos and it can be so hard to find a really straightforward video where an intelligent person is explaining all the ways to glaze without loads of talking crap, making the video 10 times longer than it needs to be. You have answered so many questions i had about glazing. I am doing my first day ever using a potters wheel and I am so jealous there are schools out there where you can do this as a normal part of the school day. My school definitely didn't offer anything like this back in my day!

This was so helpful! Your class has more stuff than my studio where I pay like $200 for 6 week classes. So many useful techniques!

This video is very inspiring and practical, Your's students are really lucky to have such a great teacher. I loved the idea of kiln ticket too :). If You will do some more videos in the future about glazing, perhaps You could include how to glaze coil pots or pots with crayons decoration. thank You for sharing with us.

You are a rock star! My community College in California didn't have that many glaze options! We had about 40, but we mixed them all ourselves. Your students are so incredibly lucky to have you. The video had to take a fair amount of time to record and prep for for a half hour video.

Thank you!!! It really did take quite a while- but I’m so glad I did it! The throwing, trimming, set up, filming and glazing all told took about 20 hours! I had three hours of footage that I “boiled down” to 25 minutes! But, now my kids have a reference for many years to come!!
