Hey, so I commented earlier about a mixed media idea incorporating both watercolour and acrylic, and I asked if this was acrylic. I have my answer now (lol) so I thought I should explain myself. I'm working on a series of paintings and the common themes are a character surounded in their favourite thing. The character is in the mid-ground and the things are in the background, painted in muted colours, generally either silhouetted, bokkeh, or just blurry. The foreground is where the magic happens. So although mid-ground, the character is painted on the canvas as a foreground element, but the actual foreground is sculpted out of toilet paper maché, and often other media. I have been painting the objects on watercolour paper, cutting them out, and superglueing them to the piece. The paper maché, I use to make bases to glue the watercolour elements on, or, like in what I'm currently painting, I am painting watercolour birds, and the parts of the character that interract with the birds are going to be made from the toilet paper maché. I hope this can inspire you, if only even a little. I'd love to see what you do with the idea ^-^
