The WORST lineup in Glastonbury history. What happened to Stevie Wonder ?

the announcement that coldplay headline yet again sums up the state of music for the past 20 years- it seems to be "alternative" (yeah,sure) acts like coldplay, radiohead, foo fighters, arctic monkeys, u2 etc continually headlining glastonbury and you can guarantee in 10 years time , they will still be headlining glastonbury - i dont think the youth of today even like music- they all seem to have walked into the pages of a george orwell novel-

Same old. The headliners would struggle to fill an 80 thousand field for a one day event. Buying tickets blind is a disgrace. I wouldn't shop blindfold for anything. My generation put up with a lot, but not this nonsense. The Eaves family must be laughing all the way to the bank.

@@jamesclark1682 that’s actually as a big part of it. Glastonbury isn’t really on TV. I know it looks like it is, but that’s about 5% of what happens there.

5 per cent. You come cheaply. Do you believe the site owners care about what you're there for. Where I come from, Newcastle. We'd see you from a mile off. I'd be anything you'd want me to be for 200 quid a pop.

There is not one act I’d go out my way to see…some I had to look up

Been to every one since ‘05. Never go because of the line up, a good line up is just a happy bonus. But this is the worst I’ve seen by a long shot. It seems they are only booking people that cheap/free. It’s more and more like a business every year.

​@@MrMcMuffinJr1999I may have touched a nerve here! It's just that Coldplay, and most of that lineup is simply not up to scratch. The Arctic Monkeys got a lot of unfair flack last year for being different. It simply wasn't LCD enough, whereas this year's lineup is.

@@stevetheprogger1 a lot of people don’t like them for being too colorful/happy. Have you ever sat down and listen to their pre 2008 work? That’s what resonates with most of the fans like myself. Perhaps give a listen to their 2003 performance in Sydney. This quote was in an article about Glastonbury. "The world has changed a lot since 2000, when Coldplay were scorned for being too nice, too emotionally direct, lacking in edge. Today, their profound decency and humanity seems far more valuable. Whether it's their concern for their fans, their pragmatic environmentalism, their support for younger artists or the songs themselves, always moving towards hope and light, they have become a force for good. There may still be those who find their world-enveloping success baffling or enraging but Coldplay no longer have any need to apologise."

Absolute disgrace two headliners that should not be headlining and bloody Coldplay again cmon Emily eavis your failing worst headline acts ever think the whole of Glastonbury had enough of Coldplay ain't worth the money total disgrace in my view glastonburys done

Not really about the music anymore, more an experience entertainment venue and those wishing to complete their tick-sheet of life goals. I personally wouldn't pay to see any of the main acts, and I'm not some fossil hoping the Beatles reform.

I watched an hour of this Yawn Fest last night. Just dull boring mainstream dross. i turned it off and listened to a Bowie compilation on headphones.

Laughable lineup

I wish Coldplay would stop paying. It's so nauseating when going to see a show and Coldplay is in your face. Their music is dull boring and meaningless crap songs, think audiences should get a refund on the tickets they bought having to put up with this rubbish.
