Another awesome video Jamie. I can’t thank you enough. I’ve spend countless dollars on college classes working towards a degree in web design and hadn’t leaned a fraction of what I have since spending $150 to be a member of Club Pootle. I’m dyslexic, so I don’t learn the same way other people do. I learn by doing and by repetition, and if the only video I got for my $150 was your cover block video it would be worth twice the price. I’ve watched that I bet half a dozen times, and I look forward to the rest of the year when I get to watch more of your videos and follow you on KZread. You’re a rare find sir. “Thank you” doesn’t seem to say enough but I’ll say it anyway, thank you. And whenever my wife hears your voice when I’m watching KZread videos she points up and say “Our cats… get a little treat!” (We have four. LOL)

Is it possible to find a solution so that it looks good on mobile? now it doesn't work well when you press the hamburger they become like a small box only 😒

Great video! Looking forward to Friday's livestream. How will the setup be? Will we be able to see both of their screens all the time when they build? That would be nice so we don't miss anything, and maybe want to have it as a tutorial for later. (: If that is not possible, it would be awesome if they could record their screens as well, and upload it after the challenge. So we got their POV and can see everything they do to build the site. 😊

Hi, yes we'll be able to see both screens, but I will be switching occasionally when specifically interesting things are happening. Just bear in the mind this is the first one, so we'll learn some lessons for sure. See you Friday :)

Looks great! Does it work with the hamburger menu though? Whenever I tried to create this in the past it interfered with the smartphone navigation overlay.

Hmm I'll do some digging. This site was a one pager so I keep the desktop menu showing on mobile (so no issue).

I like this, but 2 things... First, this was a one page site. Can it be made to work on a multipage site, but instead of only the menu item on the right being with black background, the page you have reached has the black background? Second, as others have asked, can it be made to disappear into a hamburger menu for mobile users? - Even when my first problem has been overcome for multipage sites.

the issue with this is when it goes responsive, if you have a full screen header it makes it small

I hope the del monte can missed the cats 🙂
