Glassjaw is really underrated, their songs have this emotional weight and heaviness to them that a lot of bands in their genre lack

I think Daryl in general is kinda underrated. He’s sick GJ, Head Automatica are both really sick bands. He was also in color film but don’t really recall any of that bands music

@@twoicecreams. This was a band I started listening to in middle school when someone gave me a burned CD of Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Silence shortly after it was released. I don't think they ever really got the recognition they deserved for really pioneering the post-hardcore scene(along with a few other bands). They were one of the first bands that really got me into music. It's awesome that younger people are discovering their music now and vibing with it.

I don’t know what it is but Glassjaw is that band where if you know them they were important to you. It’s either you love them or don’t know this band at all. I’ve been listening to Glassjaw since I was 12 so, 2006. And I think one thing in common with Glassjaw is that they came in a very formative year for you growing up as a teenager dealing with relationships and life in general. Their first two albums still stick with me as documents of jr high and teenage angst.

It's funny because I'm 35 and I knew of Glassjaw when I was in high school. I liked Cosmopolitan Bloodbloss but I never really bothered checking anything else, and I also liked some Head Automatica songs. Years later I ended up owning Worship & Tribute but didn't really get into it. GJ was not a band I was particularly interested in until 2018 when they toured with Quicksand. I actually really love the latest Glassjaw album and I worked my way backwards and had a newfound appreciation for Glassjaw. They're one of my favorite bands now and I've seen them 4 times since then. Just saw them again last week for their 30th anniversary tour and it was INCREDIBLE.

10/30/1980 baby here... and you are so right my friend. You have great tastes, my wife is only 32 and she loves all those bands as well, and absolutely worships The Cure. She taught me about things I didn’t know about music... I love talking music with my wife over dabs like we’re young again 😂. Music, gaming, and skateboarding (not so much these days) are my life. My only reprieve from this chaos. 🤘🏻🖤

I first heard “Tip Your Bartender” over 15 years ago and it was the only song by Glassjaw I liked. Now, at 40 years old I still love my Classic Rock/Metal/Nu-Metal but I am SHOCKED at how PROFOUNDLY this band can invoke different emotions at the change of a note or timing...just like the chaotic style they bring, with the intricate layering of melodies. Very few bands can pull this style of music off successfully. It’s because they are forcing it while Glassjaw is BUILT on that foundation, they are organic. That’s what drew me into Mudvayne (RIP). I’m a bit late but I’m here! 🤘🏻🖤

Yeah, it's over You can bet in mid October I will still be ranting 'bout most early May Yeah, he's a winner He's a goddamn sinner While he dines I'm on the wrong side of the day And I said, "I don't understand why I'm fumbling after" You're the reason i cannot forget this season Or the letter when you first referred to it And I said... It's all calypso But it's not easy to know You walk around with your shoulders down, frowning It's not easy to know Yeah, it's over You can bet when mid-October ends I'll still be ranting 'bout most early May See yeah, he's a winner He's a goddamn sinner While he dines I'm on the wrong side of the day And I said, "I don't understand why I'm fumbling after" Yeah, you're the reason I cannot forget this season Or the lesson how an ape shall not kill ape And I said... It's all calypso But it's not easy to know You walk around with your shoulders down, frowning It's not easy to know It's just a tango But it's not easy to choke I walk around with my horns down now But it's not easy to know And I, I, I, I I'm going under I'm going under I'm going under I'm going under You can't trust a man who's a governor Ape can't trust man You can't trust a man with a gun at all Ape can't trust man You can't trust me It's all calypso But it's not easy to know You walk around with your shoulders down, frowning It's not easy to know It's just a tango But it's not easy to choke I walk around with my horns down now But it's not easy to show How could you heal if you don't ease back the blame? Didn't know they had a second video for it. I love the lyrics so much more once I knew what they were. This song is so melodic and mellifluous. Honestly, this is a damn fantastic song, but I also must admit, the guy playing the clown has pin-point precision on exactly what expressions to make. That man deserves some credit for so small of a part. Or, at least such short time.

I was there! Except in ATL, Georgia. Was it the Phillips Arena still back then? What a night. P.O.D. no showed. System of a Down played and stopped a mosh pit fight simultaneously...Serge was like “fighting is for the fuckers”, fighting’s for bitches”! 😂 Ozzy announced that Sharon was finally cancer free right before he started his set. And my future wife and sister-in-law were there somewhere...I’m 40 and she turned 32 today, so that’s crazy shit. The Universe makes things happen in crazy ways. We met at a New Years party 13 years ago and we’re still in love. Still have one of the shirts too! 🤘🏻🖤

this is not an anti-feminist post, btw. note at the start of the video she got out of bed naked, or nearly naked. maybe she was in fact being neglected. maybe he was being neglected. maybe they're both transgendered. get where I'm going? in my previous comment there's no "he she him her " or "girls are whores guys are cheated on" humans are humans. but like how I began my first comment, communication is key. speak with your significant other. speak with them naked, no bullshit. no blanket. lay naked with them, holding them and look them in the eyes when u speak. be as unfiltered as possible. this will allow you to solve problems as they appear, and they will. being a couple is being one, and making comprises, sorting out issues, and lending an ear/giving a warm embrace.
