Short review of the SeaQ Panorama Date: This watch is not just one of the best watches ever made; it's also possibly the best sports watch of all time. This is an objective opinion :)

It truly is. Mine is running constant on +1s/d. The caliber 36/13 is a masterpiece. Home Run for Glashütte Original

Stunning. Funny thing is that it still is pretty much under the radar, specifically in Germany. Whenever I see reviews on YT, they are from people based in the UK or the US. Glashütte is not a mass product and they don't really care about (influencer) marketing. Something I personally really do appreciate tbh. Definitely a watch for connaisseurs. And yes, the price is high as Glashütte is only manufacturing approx. 20k pieces per year. Still worth it and so much better than a Sub or a SMP

Love this watch. I don’t need a vogue brand, also I have never met anyone who has been further than 5 metres under water. Apart from my friend Derek who was drowning. He’s fine, and retired in Scotland now.

@@TwentyOne_Five in fairness I’m from Aberdeen, and as he has got older he become so grumpy, albeit my best pal, I sometimes wish I’d left him there. Joking…Scottish humour

They (as well as Rolex, Omega, et al) are not saying that 300 meters = 1000 feet. They're telling people who think in meters that the watch is water resistant to 300 meters and they're telling people who think in feet that it's good to 1000 feet. Their testing equipment may say its good to 346.3 meters/1136.2 feet. Most buyers aren't going to take it deeper than the middle of a swimming pool and prefer a round number estimate on the dial, rather than a theoretical number with irrelevant precision.

quick question; why does it have a swans neck regulator if it's coupled with a free sprung balance? Is it just for decoration sake or for beat rate only??

Large vs small adjustments. In theory, the combination of both should allow for extreme fine-tuning

Combining the Best of Both Worlds: The use of both a free-sprung balance and a swan-neck regulator can be seen as combining the strengths of both systems. The free-sprung balance offers robustness and consistency, while the swan-neck regulator allows for the precision fine-tuning that might be desired by watch enthusiasts and collectors.

At Glashütte Original swan neck regulators are manufactured in a complex process by hand. They need 8h for 120 of them. A maschine would need 1 minute. The swan neck regulators are then polished to a high shine using a traditional tin process. This is done with a special tin block that has diamond powder applied to it
