Wow that was amazing!!! Everything looks so different though, I would get lost now. I lived in Dalilea Place, my husband lived in Ware road in the 60"s. We met in the Casbah in 1970 got married in 1971. We lived in Dennistoun till we moved to Canada in 1978. Hubby is hoping you do Wellhouse next time. Torran road and Baldovan Cres. Thank you for this. Tommy and June Febers.

I thank you Paul, my wife came from Easterhouse, lived on Easterhouse RD in the early 1960s as a young girl. She went to the local school and church. I have watched all of your videos on Easterhouse, and have seen the house where she lived and grew up in, the school and the Church she attended. She always spoke fondly of Easterhouse and the people. I may never get to see it in person, but thanks to you I have. She left Easterhouse in 1967, moved to Perth Australia, met me a Kiwi, we moved back to NZ, married, we have 3 children, 4 grandchildren all happy and healthy. Keep up the good work. You can take the girl out of Easterhouse but you can’t take Easterhouse out of the girl. In loving memory of my wife. N.Z

I don’t live in Glasgow but I know what you mean about the English journalist here on KZread filming the supposedly roughest schemes. I’ve watched several of his videos Paul and I’m not the only one who’s had to administer him with corrective advice. Honestly……… Anyway at least we can rely on your correct and informative narratives. I enjoy our little tours round Glasgow. Thank you. Blessings to you and yours!

The tories are rightfully so hated in Scotland, but let us also remember that it was labour who were in control of Scotland right up until the early 2000s, and it was labour who happily allowed schemes like Easterhouse, Blackhill and Castlemilk to be run down poverty ridden areas for decades, and it was not until labour lost that these schemes started to be replaced by back and front doors and the 60 year old close tenements pulled own......so just a little reminder of the part labour played in large areas of Scotland being not fit for human beings for decades.

Makes you think - with all these new houses being built, total transformation. If the original houses had been half decent there maybe wouldn't be any housing shortage and less homeless.
