This is a great story Bev. You're a good narrator. I was around in 67 so I'm familiar with Airstream a d Sgt. Peppers. Lololololo. But also my kin came from Oklahoma so they were down to earth loving people. Ending up in the mountains of southern California I used to feed a raccoon family nightly for Grandma n Pappy. Love this story. There goes your infectious laugh again. Keep laughing. I'm absolutely sure your laughter brings encouragement and joy to many weary souls.

So totally cool. I think you picked a great name for that sad little camper. That wallpaper certainly fits a name like Daisy, which "coincidentally" to be my fave aunt on my dads side of the family. You also mention Jeremy and Derick fixing up Jennifer. You already know who the two J names are and Derek's the name of Jeremy's uncle on his dad's side...and the coincidences keep piling up....where they'll stop, no body knows, but the universe IMHO is SCREAMING that there is NO coincidence our paths have crossed abd I'm so looking forward to seeing what will be revealed or not as the reason why. True, avoiding using a lot of gas now is smart. I think that's true even if the money is not an issue for a particular person. Every bit you don't use, helps reduce world demand, so helps the supply/demand price problem. Similarly, one of my daughters is installing a wood pellet stove to reduce her winter heating oil (exactly same stuff as diesel, except dyed red) usage. That will save her tons of money, it's a renewable resource (so burning it is carbon neutral, except for the energy it takes to make/transport it), and it also saves that amount of diesel for more important things, like keeping the trucking industry rolling and airliners flying. Those can't convert to using wood as their fuel, unlike simple heating where wood is fine. Some years I didn't even bother plugging in my car. This year, I make sure I charge it up before even going to the grocery store. It saves me 1/2 gallon of gas every time I charge it from empty to full. That costs about $0.66 right now, making it like $1.32/gallon gas, though the electric company got a crazy 2.2x rate hike temporarily starting in August, to make charging the car equivalent to $2.90/gallon gas. That's due to Europe buying up the LNG (to replace Russian natural gas) that normally comes in tankers to New England to generate more electricity for our short AC season. When not plugging in, my car gets 80mpg at 40mph; 61mpg at 61mph, and 42mpg at 84mph. On my cross-country trips I average under 50mpg on the highway due to often spending a lot of time going 80ish. On my trip this fall (or maybe as late as January to meet more people in Quartzsite) I think I'll plan my route for back roads and slower highways, to see if I can average 70mpg while driving NH to AZ/NV/CA. I think that going 2800 miles NH-CA on 40 gallons instead of 60 gallons, would be a nice challenge in addition to saving the $100 of gas each way. It's so easy to say the driving is boring, and to put the gas pedal down to get there in a hurry, but if I view it as a challenge/game, I think I can stick to that. Plus, an extra couple days exploring via back roads, ALWAYS turns out to be more fun. Last year I was proud of a personal record driving solo 1050 miles in a day. This year, I'll aim for going 500 miles in a day on as little gas as possible, likely just 7.something gallons if I don't get ants in my pants and hop on the interstate to go warp speed.

I love everything about Fredrock! I have my van now but it hasn't been converted yet but I have a bed in it and to me that's all I need for now. I would love to meet you and stay at your beautiful campground as soon as I can get time off from work. I've camped a couple of times locally but I would love for my first out of state camping trip to be Fredrock. I really need a vacation because I just broke up with my long time boyfriend and getting away to clear my mind and fill my heart with peace. You have such a beautiful soul and it would be a pleasure to meet you and your amazing daughter. ❤️

You are so talented. Had a house years ago that needed paint on the inside. Looked at some samples but I have zero skill so painted every wall white. Good start for the next Owners I figured. Get the non trip due to fuel. I am in MN and went to Duluth and then my kids cabin for Independence day weekend. Fuel pump shut off at one hundred dollars and I wasn't quite full yet. Lake Superior is incredible and I miss it after spending years boating and diving the shipwrecks. The hot tub was a great touch. Be careful with racoons but I do have a couple funny stories about them. Love the videos and your super positive attitude.

That's a great video, Bev. You are looking fabulous. I don't blame you for holding back on traveling due to fuel prices. It's definitely affecting everyone. Have you ever considered having a Tarzan-like Tree house with a rope bridge leading to a second bungalow or out building? I know of such a place in north Atlanta that is virtually hidden amidst the deciduous trees.

Regarding fuel cost, I totally hear you! I was invited to be a crew member for a glorious sculpture headed to Burning Man next month. But, the fuel expense is just too much and I had to pass. Such a bummer! It's definitely become the major issue for all the nomads I know. We've all been adjusting our original summer plans.

The Rustic Rose is open in the winter time. Most of the rest has to be winterized. Wish we could figure out a way to keep it all from freezing.

Good luck with the refund they are backed up. Mine had to be paper because of the withholding. I will most likely get it by the fall and I filled in February.

@@carolwest6095 Good to know, I mailed mine in in May after they were rejected electronically due to an issue with my grands' social security numbers. I raised two of them for a few years.

Shutting down our own oil production and instead going to the Saudi's and paying twice as much per barrel resulting in $7.00 per gallon gas? Supporting trans-gender men to compete against girls in collegiate athletics and MMA competition that resulted in a woman having her skull fractured? Perhaps pissing off Russia with sanctions (which only hurt Americans BTW) thereby jeopardizing the safety of Americans? Pushing "safe and effective" injections that aren't "safe and effective" on Americans? In the words of Ross Perot, "I'm all ears".

And as you already know I didn't mention allowing millions of illegal aliens to enter the country from God knows where. That's happening to all sovereign nations right now. They just want to turn it all into a soup. However, out of respect to Bev, who I really like I will not say anything further on the subject. I know that's not the model for her channel.
