O is that what he told you lolz. Jk chill out buddy. People are capable of doing terrible things. Yes even you fucktard. I don't hold anything against the past because you can't change it. You were not there and neither was I. You have to forgive and move on. My Grandpa was a great man who loved America and designed some of Ford's greatest cars. He was in the German army before he was drafted. Horrible things happen in all wars. Yes even Americans are capable of doing horrible things and many Americans do horrible things in war as well. We drop bombs out of nowhere on children, families, towns, cities, entire villages. I salute your Grandpa and there will never be peace with people like you around and I am sure your grandpa would agree since he has seen the evils of man which you portray so well because you are too short sided. Humans are humans buddy not some big bad monsters. Humans are followers and Idk why it happened I don't think crimes against humanity committed back then were right but I can't change the mistakes of the past and neither can you so cut out the fucking 3rd grader on roids act you damn meathead. You wanna have a real talk and not just talk bullshit about your gay porn fantasies that you have so much of then I am all ears but otherwise go back to worshiping your Grandpa getting fucked by Uncle Sam or whatever gay shit you keep talking about.

There were many people across Europe who were worried about communism. Word of the untold millions of deaths in the Ukraine had over a decade to spread and there were serious communist parties springing up everywhere. Communism is pure evil and the. Nazis stopped it from infecting Europe for as long as long as they existed. The Nazis lost the war and currently Western Civilization is falling apart as a result.

A good video, but some glaring errors and airbrushed parts. There's always a cause and effect and the SS were no different to this! Communism was a force to be reckoned with and the threat it held was abominable indeed! Also, the narrator fails to mention the Russian invasion of the Baltic States and Romania (prior to OP Barbarossa)! As an occupying force fighting the French resistance can only hold off from civilian reprisals for so long! There's much more that can be said, but let me say this. The army general that says his men are whiter than white angels is a liar, and that goes for both sides! The Allies were worse than the SS for what they did at the end of the war (mostly the commie USSR folks).

Your point? With WWII, the Germans have had plenty of input into the history books - and as their massive mountains of documents from the war became declassified bit by bit, they have verified that the history books were for this war, much more accurate than for most previous wars. I would venture that the "official" history narrative for WWII is MUCH more accurate than for Vietnam and both Iraq wars!! Regarding the war crimes of the SS units, these have been VERY well documented: they were definitely not simply made up by the Allies post-hoc.

Stating that the entire world wants to live there is ignorant and arrogant. From what you perceive in Europe and most developing countries they have put their claws on, they are hated world wide. If im not mistaken , during the entire history of the UK there are only a handful of countries worldwide they havent attacked or tried to invade at some point of time. Reading goes a long way

@@kingpriapatius5832 nah, Germany plays both sides as always since 1945. Same with the attack on Serbia. They flew first few days and thats it. They act as if they are with the NATO, but in reality they are with their Industry and bombing an European nation, that buys German cars and benefits the German industrie, into ashes isnt productive. Same now. They act as they give a damn about Ukraine, in reality they are interested and need Russian resources and hoped for a fast Russian win. Because they need good US relations too, they reluctantly sent arms to Ukraine. You actually heard what German really thinks, when the German general said "Krim is Russian, accept it". He was fired afterwards to please the US, but what do you think, he is the only one with this opinion? German needs Russia, Russia needs Germany and Europe needs both. The US should gtfo and Germany wants the US to gtfo in reality.

Honestly it's a big reason so many of them became brutalized, detached and nihilistic. We discuss PTSD these days and accept that some people will be mentally scarred and liable to do things they wouldn't ordinarily do - and, not to lessen what they've been through - but imagine serving in WW2, especially in the East in those brutal conditions, or in Normandy, under constant Allied Naval Gun and Air bombardment, to the extent you physically cannot move in the daylight. That is enough to drive even the most level headed and calm man insane. It's no surprise they committed the crimes they did. Sure some were as a result of the higher command sanctioning them, but the spur of the moment crimes at the front - there's a reason we see them increase in severity when the conditions around the righting become more barbaric in general.

lol indeed: the biggest mistake Hitler made, was attacking Russia before completely securing the Western Front, by conquering the UK. Strategically speaking, if they had done that, then launched an even larger and better organized Russian invasion, they could have forced the USSR into a peace treaty that would effectively take them out of the war. Then, help out Japan in their takeover of China, and the USA would be effectively isolated. The Cold War would then have been between the Axis powers, with Russia as a client state and possible ally, and the USA. The world would be a VERY different place today.... but given the many ideological horrors and weaknesses of both the German and Japanese outlook on the world (as in "Aryans are superior to all others, especially Jews, Slavic peoples, etc....."), the change would NOT have been for the better.

Regardless don't be surprised when others don't give two shits German war crimes considering Stalin killed his own people in the hundreds of millions and his gulags served as the inspiration for Hitler's concentration camps, German soldiers and sailors and airmen coming back to find their children and wives beaten, raped and humiliated wouldn't turn themselves over but become further entrenched into national socialism or seek revenge, mind you the path carved through Russia and Poland and Czechoslovakia and Romania and other places in eastern Europe was much the same thing perpetrated by German soldiers as well, no country was innocent in that war so don't forget that even the waffen SS consisted of humans.

Disagree. While uniting Europe against an increasing Soviet threat WAS important, it could never have been done through one European country conquering all the others. After the war, the NATO alliance and the EU grew into a very solid bulwark against a Soviet takeover of Western Europe. The conquered peoples of Europe during WWII fought a surprisingly effective "resistance" war against the German occupiers, dramatically weakening the amount of firepower a Europe "united" by the conquering German armies could muster to fight the Soviets.

Interestingly my father who was in the British military (in the 1980s) told me they were trained that “you only take prisoners if you have the resources and man power to do so”. And that basically if you captured enemy soldiers but didn’t have ability to keep them captured it was a wrap for them. German pows were shot by the allies during the invasion of normandy under these exact circumstances. I wont make excuses for anyone shooting civilians but the idea it was just the SS shooting pows isnt true. Neither side had the resources to keep pows and unfortunately for that reason pows on both sides paid the price.

I’ve already said that I wont make excuses for what was done to civilians and my main point was regarding the shooting of prisoners. The idea that this was the sole practice of the WSS is nonsense. It was happening on both sides regularly during that time. The phenomenon was so apparent it even made its was into the show band of brothers. In reality speers shot groups german pows on two separate occasions. Wasn’t because he was “evil” just the the situation dictated there wasn’t the manpower to keep prisoners alive. An during that period the germans had even less manpower.

Are you joking? Special forces of today are trained organized function much different from any unit in existence then, they are light infantry not "Shock Troops". Special forces are trained to operate behind enemy lines in small numbers and strike swiftly and efficiently at decisive targets and then vanish without a trace. As a result their marksmanship and fitness standards far exceed those of regular units especially by WWII era standards and their training covers a broader range of topics from survival (which is broken down into separate jungle, winter or desert courses) to interrogation resistance training(where the recruit must undergo a simulated interrogation for days and is subject to all kinds of psychological games which includes physical beatings) then they must learn to operate all of the various weapons in service even those used in other countries, they also learn some very underhanded ways to quickly disarm and kill enemies all in addition to the extreme marksmanship and fitness tests where candidates have to haul 30 - 40 or sometimes even 60 lbs of equipment thirty miles (If I remember correctly) through various terrain which can last a few days and at the end face a marksmanship test and the entire thing must be done within a certain amount of time. The SS were heavy infantry, trained to break through defences en masse using assault tanks and fanatic zeal. It worked well but often resulted in huge casualties far exceeding those of regular Wehrmacht units. Their training regime was about five months, whereas special forces BASIC training lasts an entire year, after which they may specialize in a specific field. The SS were indeed brave and excellent "shock troops" but they cannot be compared to special forces of today which are clandestine units. They are a different type of unit and serve totally different functions.

The uniforms of WW2 alone really show which side held the better future; ugly, cheap, mass produced, boring vs noble, expensive, quality. Symbolism right in front of us.
