I’ve been running this deck with Forge. I mainly used it for the Brood combo but Forge into Gladiator makes him 9-Power and it actually got me a couple destroys that I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise

The "problem" is that even if you destroy a good card, there was no guarantee your opponent would have even drawn that card. There's also a chance they didn't WANT to draw the card you destroy, and instead your just helping them draw their tech cards or something. In those cases, you just have a big power dude on your side. That's not bad, power wins games, but it's not good either.

Been running gladiator in a knull-zola deck that has actually been slapping. Extra destroy really helps and assists with priority. Best use case I found for it thus far...

Yooooo that was me in the Weirdworld game at 23:10! Yeah I knew I had no chance against a Loki deck in that scenario lol, especially with none of the juicy cards in hand. Also for what it's worth, I just got Loki today so I'm still learning the ropes. Still GGs all the same.

Opened the cache today and got Renslayer, who’s a nice addition to my Mr negative deck.

Since Gladiator got weird interactions like this, will Gladiator kills Cosmo or Armor? Because it seems to me is that he have two on reveal effect separately. Does anybody knows?

I haven't tested this, but I'm guessing that he'll kill Cosmo but not Armor. With Cosmo, the On Reveal has already activated and it's just in the process of resolving. For Armor, her ongoing effect should be active as soon as she comes down, so Gladiator can't destroy her. For the record, I've had an enemy Gladiator pull my Knull and my Knull's ongoing effect made him strong enough to beat Gladiator.

I think John nailed it here. I've actually seen Gladiator kill Cosmo, so I can confirm that.

I'm on the fence with Gladiator. I have 3 spotlight keys and I have Annihilus in mind. But this deck looks pretty good. And I've been seeing destroy decks running Gladiator too.

what about a similar deck like this but with strong-guy, as he is now a 3 cost and works with the discard. maybe you could add a card like Colleen wing or lady sif?

Not that I'm likely to get Gladiator (I recently used all my spotlight caches for Alioth and Negasonic), but I do have a deck theory craft for this card, along with Lady Deathstrike and, eventually, Firestar. The plan is to use cards like Okoyo, and Nakia to boost it while in deck/hand respectively, and then use Nico and Forge to boost it even further just before playing it. The idea is to get his power up high enough that very little will survive. I also considered Pheonix Force as an option with one or two destroys so that we can destroy and reuse Gladiator, but that seems too greedy. Still, if the card he pulls out ends up killing him, the Pheonix Force could be a nice way to bring him back and have another go. Again, it's just theorycraft and chances are it only works in my head and not in practice.

Gladiator is really interesting. I reached infinite this season with a Jean Grey restrictive surfer list. Gladiator could be a good fit there. Sadly with limited resources, I decided to get Annihilus instead. I also own Loki and Mirage so opening these cache will kinda feel bad unless I get super lucky.

Question is there a replacement for snowguard I have the other cards except snowguard?

I played against a portrait of moon knight or taskmaster. Was super sweet avatar ibe never seen before.

Regis do you know what you did? Lmfao this deck is slapping in Conquest. I'm literally going 10-1 and I'm just laughing out how fun this deck is. I haven't faced many Thanos decks yet but it is fun going against a Ms. Marvel deck.

This deck took me from 80-87 in a night. It's very good.

Unrelated to gladiator but a part of me wishes that there was some Surfer Galactus synergy for the lore purposes

Fun deck to try and destroy all the opponents’ cards: Yondu, Forge, Colossus, Negasonic, Gambit, Venom, Gladiator, Shang Chi, Deathstrike, Knull, Allioth, Death. You have to take risks, but when it works it really disrupts!

My favorite Gladiator experience so far has been someone pulling my Orca into an empty Morag--and instantly retreating.

Played Gladiator three times. Hit Mr Negative, Dr Doom, and Hulk. I think I’m done for awhile.

I played a Gold Conquest match against this deck with a Deadpool discard and the Gladiator pulled my MODOK twice and Knull on the third try lol I think Gladiator can be good its just going to need more playtime

The gist of this video seems to be that Gladiators best role in this deck is just to be a 2nd copy of Maximus?

He is just Maximus but slightly better in clog

Idea : play him in Darkhawk to fill opponent deck with Rocks so Gladiator pulls rock

Is it me or do the new cards always want to stay in the deck?

I really want gladiator but I only have 2 keys and already have the other cards in his batch. That is not a coin flip I'm one to make.

gladiator is often seen as a card only for surfer, but he is INCREDIBLY effective with destroy. anyone tried that yet?

Unlocked Gladiator and pulled a White Tiger on the first game. Gladiator is great.

You were probably running into Loki a lot because he's in the new Spotlight. As a certified Loki hater, this makes me sad, but as a free to play player who newly owns Loki I'd be lying if I said wasn't doing the exact same thing.

I'm on a mission to nerf Luki! 22:20 You thought you couldn't win mid, even with Surfer and that's true, but it's just that Luki works like Sera... Even if you have the same cards and Sera in the board, you couldn't make the same play, because their Snowguard(your Snowguard created from Loki) is literally free and gives him +2 to their Collector (the same +2 you lose mid), Luki needs the same restriction as Sera! I lose so many games against him just because he can play your 1-energy cards for free!

Played 10 games with him every time was a Chavez?! - Broken? Or unlucky?

subterranean does not affect loki, loki only pulls from the player's starting deck, that's why he doesn't pull thanos' stones because thanos shuffles the stones in after the game starts

No one said it affected Loki?? I actually said the opposite, that it now gives them a great hand, so we're extra screwed. I said they may MISS their Loki because they drew too many rocks.

Gladiator is a worse maximus for surfer deck... Hope they would buff him soon
