Can one use it just for upgrade and not buy and when someone wants his car to be stock he should use it again I am asking because I have 2015 cla 45 amg bone stock just 8000 miles driven and if I buy it new it is very costly and if I go to performance oriented workshop who owns one I can spend less money just to tune it and then drive it and again when I want it to be in stock condition again I should go and and have a stock tune from them

I asked the RENNtech specialist about the top speed limiter and he said the HHT increases the top speed from 155 mph to 200 mph!

Have you created a follow up video? Did you compare this upgrade against your stock performance times? 0-60? What are the general acceleration characteristics with it installed? Was it worth the coin?

Hi there! Thank you for putting together this video! I currently have a 2019 AMG GLA 45 and am considering this tune. Now that it's been a few years, how do you feel about the tune? Has it given you any problems? Any further noteworthy observations that you've made? Would love to hear your feedback. Thanks in advance.

I just bought a used 2018 gla45 and love it. I also bought the extended service and warranty for the amg engine and transmission suspension and exhaust. Basically all of the high performance systems. Will this void those warranties? I know this is a general question. And I really should ask my dealer however was curious at general enthusiasts opinion.

So there is only the stock mode and then the Renntech tune to chose from. I bet it would be great with an aftermarket downpipe. I personally think the ecu tune is the most worth it and then adding the downpipe would have you sitting well!

I just got my renntech HHT last week and installed it on my 2015 GLA45 AMG, it really makes the car perform so much better. The ride is actually smoother and there is a lot less lag, plus there is a real noticeable increase in power and sound too

Hey man love the content. Do you have any other mods with this tune? I have the weistec cold air intake and I’m also installing a weistec catless downpipe soon. This tune was definitely something I was looking into.

The tune and a bmc air filter are all I have done so far! If you have been thinking about the tune I would definitely do it. I love the reputation that renntech has.

@@Jacobmav I just purchased a 2015. It's not under warranty, as it it has some miles on it. Do you suggest I perform the tune myself, as it seems simple, or take it to the Merc dealership to ensure that it is installed and performed correctly? Thanks

Hi I have a gla 180 and I want to add some amg styling to it - bumper and wheels can you recommend something some kits

I also have a 2015 GLA45 AMG and really enjoyed your video and am looking forward to your next video with the dragy times. I just had a question I was hoping to ask you, I have noticed that the dual clutch transmission of the 2015 GLA45 AMG has a bit of a lag or hesitation when taking off from a dead stop. Did you find any difference with respect to this lag after you installed the Renntech hand-held tune? Thanks!

It does still have a slight delay it’s a bit less with added torque. I do think a lot of the delay has to do with the turbo lag on the car. When you launch control it though with the ecu tune on it launches hard!

If you get a TCU tune by Eurocharged it solves the lag problem completely.

What changes you experienced in your car jumping from 360 hp to 430 hp does it effect engine transmission and turbo on long run...or it is completely safe to use it without damaging all these parts...

Definitely effects the engine and turbo, but any hard driving will do that in the long run

Thanks for the review! After flashing, did the car throw off any error codes or did the flash negate any functions?

It will throw an error code right when you first flash it that the 4matic isn’t working, but as soon as it runs for a minute the error will clear itself. It doesn’t negate any functions. Great tuner!

Reliability has been great I’ve had it on for over 10k miles and no issues! I bought mine for 30k with 34k miles. I’ll do an overview video!

Whatever happened to putting your car on a dyno and having it custom tuned? In the future it’ll beca unichip with platinum feature for switch between tunes real time.

Yes! You can reinstall it as many times as you want. You don’t need a dealer to install.

Hey! I am about to make the video I was supposed to make 3 years ago🤣 I still have the car and it has held up well I am now at 95k miles and put the tune on around 35k-40k.

How's the performance in sport and sport+ modes? Btw, we have a GLA45 Owner's FB group, Mercedes AMG GLA45 Owners Group; in case you're interested.

On the 2015 model it only has comfort, manual, and sport. Running it in the sport mode the big difference is the 0-60. What’s the group? I’d love to join!

@@Jacobmav I have also put the Renntech HHT on my GLA45 as well one other tip if your wheels are 20 inch I recommend going down to 19 inch alloy wheels the car handles much better, the stock wheels are heavy as well, switching to some OZ wheels or borbet wheels should do the trick, the handling will be much improved.

@@silverfoxsilverfox6932 The stock 20" are made by Borbet and going to 19" could make it a bit heavier due to the added amount of rubber, unless you go with a much lighter wheel that will offset the added weight for the tires.

@@deltaracecraftsolutions Stock 20 wheels can have a shuddering in the steering when turning I put 19 inch wheels on my GLA45 and it transformed it completely, it was much better to drive afterwards.

I have a 2015 CLA45 with performance exhaust. Does this ECU upgrade add more crackles & pops (keep valves open)?
