Gktech hidden hydraulic handbrake / e-brake install

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Want a stealth mode slide stick in your car? Enter this bad unit.
The GKTECH hidden handbrake has been designed for those who want the instant lock of the rear wheels through a hydraulic handbrake, but want to keep it discreet.
Our unit has been specifically designed to be fitted in the center console while being engaged using the OEM handbrake lever, meaning from the outside everything looks OEM and untouched.
This listing is for the bracket assembly and master cylinder of your choice (stand alone or in-line)
If you require any other hydraulic handbrake lines or rear dual caliper brackets they can be seen in our other listings.
- Hidden for stealth
- Utilizes OEM lever for further stealth
- Utilizes OEM locking lever for parking
Confirmed fitment:
- Nissan S13 Silvia
- Nissan 180sx
- Nissan S14 200sx
This kit was designed around the S13/S14 tunnel. We do believe this is a universal product that could fit other cars.
If the car you plan on fitting this to has a similar setup to an S-chassis we cannot see why this would not work, but cannot confirm it being hidden in the center console.
Fits both LHD and RHD vehicles
NOTE: We do not recommend using any hydraulic handbrake to hold the vehicle after long periods of time, due to the system losing pressure.
NOTE#2: This kit will require you to cut and utilize your OEM handbrake cable, meaning the OEM handbrake cable setup will not be of use.
NOTE#3: The bottom of the center console will need to be cut.

    Hey i have a question not related to this but you seem like a pro at this kind of stuff. Anyways. My handbrake is too stiff. Like way too stiff i can barely lift it to 5 clicks. And its like 9 clicks max. How do i fix this and make it lighter like any new car ?

  • @Officer_Dan

    @Officer_Dan

    Sorry I just saw this! Seems like you can take the console apart and loosen up the nut holding the cable a few turns. That should help a ton, but you've probably already fixed it by now!

    It depends on the master really. If you use an inline setup, the line goes in the in and out the out. If it's a separate caliper system, one line goes to the rears then splits to each caliper.

    Yes you can, but not recommended for long periods of time! As long as you have a drift button you can use it like a normal parking brake

    @@Officer_Dan how long would a long period of time be? haha. like overnight? i too very much want this setup, but still want to retain parking ability. what exactly is bad about keeping pressure on the hydraulic line?

  • @Officer_Dan

    @Officer_Dan

    4 жыл бұрын

    It's not bad for it, the hydraulic fluid loses pressure over time. Over night is fine, but leave it a few weeks on a steep hill and it may slowly end up at the bottom haha.

  • @austinspiller9185

    With this setup it’s optional. Removing the stock ebrake lines (I’ll use my e46 for example) would disable the brake shoes inside the rotor so you would need to either tie into your stock calipers (tons of videos for that) or buy a dual caliper setup
