Going against the grain

The "wrong" way round also lowers the top at the front, making it easier to get my leg over.

it does look better! and more practical. imagine, givi creates the product and some how the designers missed that little trick! im going to do mine the same way when i finally get them!

Very happy that swapping them "backwards" worked well for you, but the fact that you were able to do that is a bummer for me! I wanted a set to use occasionally in place of my larger Monokey boxes (which I still want to keep as I do sometimes need that space), but I already know that mine won't line up with the mounting points when reversed, so apparently the E22s use a different mounting system. Damn!

@@springy-2112 I had thought so also, but it looks like no. I know for sure that my panniers are Givi Monokey, not sure if the rack is off-brand, no model numbers on any of it. Maybe they changed at some point? My bike is several years old and the racks+panniers were with it when I bought it three years ago, could have been bought anywhere between 2006 and 2016, and even then, no telling if they were old stock. Any rate, glad the little ones are working well to keep your girl nicely slim!

Pugwash Hey Pugwash hello..yes the e22 s fit exactly where the e41s were...you should be able to fit any givi or kappa sidecases they are all interchangeable...i habe swapped around loads of top and side cases on many bikes as long as its a givi or kappa rack itll br good.. The e22s were 120 quid delivered...they are quite dinky but more sensable for normal trips i think... Cheers buddy ride safe 👍👍

Like the fact that the E22's are top loading.. this makes for much better practicality than side opening boxes and for that reason I'll happily invest in them and a decent top box for touring as you have done. Great video. Hope mine are swappable as your way suits the lines of the bike way more than the " correct" orientation!!

Great video explaining how the taper in width can be utilized to suit taper of mounting racks to reduce o/all width. Be careful when listening as he said the opposite to what is once in middle of video, so can get confusing, bottom line is highest part of pannier top is also the widest end.
