Given fractions for your zeros learn to write the polynomial function

👉 Learn how to write the equation of a polynomial when given fractional zeros. Recall that a polynomial is an expression of the form ax^n + bx^(n-1) + . . . + k, where a, b, and k are constants and the exponents are positive integers. The zeros of a polynomial are the values of x for which the value of the polynomial is zero.
To write the equation of a polynomial, we write the given zeros in factor form and expand the product of the factors. Thus, given a, b, . . . as zeros to a polynomial, we write the equation of the polynomial by expanding the factors (x - a)(x - b) . . . = 0

Why do we get a different answer using this method if we use a radical number for our zeros. For example, if we have zeros that are radical 5 and - radical 5 ... x = radical 5 .... x squared - 5 = 0 ...if we do this for the other zero as well and begin to FOIL it out we get a much different answer...based on this logic, why cant we do this?
