We have a 90 day warranty on all of them and we sell parts and have some videos/instructions for tire changes etc. We're working on a repair/refurbish department for Q1 2019. One thing we've found is that bike shops can do almost any of the repairs other than electrical. You can also choose to extend your warranty to 1 year.

Thanks for the review! Super helpful - in the market for an e scooter and been watching reviews on all the competitors like the segway, Xiaomi, and swagtron. Leaning towards the Gotrax right now, and you're vid really helped me see it in action up close, better than the other reviews I thought. Like the segway seems awesome too, but damn that price point - and if something goes wrong, that's a tough $650 cost to eat. Some of the negative reviews/cons of the Gotrax, like no tail light, squeeky noises, potential for flats, could probably be offset by it's low price - I'd probably rather spend that extra money on more spare tubes/tires and a tail light from the Gotrax website than get the segway. Compared to the Xiaomi, I think the look is much better - folded up looks like a classic version of those 90s/00s Razor scooters and the Xiaomi folded up honestly looks pretty bad. But that's a personal preference. The Xiaomi does have some more functionalities like cruise control, a tailligt, and an app, but then again it does cost $100 more. When it comes down to it, I'm really just looking for an efficient and safe way to get from home to school/work in philly, so it's not like I really need an app or cruise control. I'll sit on it a couple of days, but definitely leaning towards the Gotrax! And again, thanks for taking the time and effort to make a video review!

Loving your focus on electric transport! I recently tried to build my own DIY electric bike to save commute money! But then broke my collar bone because it was unstable going downhill on grass. Now I'm looking to downsize to something a little slower and safer, and this scooter looks like just the ticket!

I bought the GoTrax two weeks ago from Amazon for $399, then during Black Friday it changed to $349, now it is back to $399. My scooter does not have the pin in the stem for folding so I don't know if you have a newer one or not. I use my GoTrax for my job as an Environmental Consultant. I inspect large commercial properties including apartment complexes where I survey acres of land and the perimeter of the property. An electric scooter was the perfect solution. Walking takes too long and driving in a car limits visibility. This is my second electric scooter. Last year I started with the Swagtron but found the small hard tires jarring and squirrelly. The GoTrax pneumatic tires and the larger profile gives it better stability and nicer ride. The GoTrax is a fun scooter to ride and I would think it would be an excellent choice for that "last mile." commute, a quick run to the store or just to tour around town. I am 160 lbs and I get about up to around 16-17 mph. After an all day of inspections, the battery still has plenty of juice left and it takes about 5 hours to recharge when the battery is low.

Nelson awesome insight and cool to hear you use this for your job. so interesting to see how tech is changing the way we do things. i love how drones are being used to inspect large solar panel arrays instead of physically walking around the property, similar i think to how you are using the scooter. thanks for the comment, Nelson!

that would really depend on how/where you ride it. unless you're going over a lot of goatheads or hitting massive jumps with it, it's unlikely you'll get a flat

I've been looking on the web and though you sounded like this is the thing to buy it doesn't have as many parts available on the web. Xiaomi on the other hand have so many parts on pretty much any website I visited. My point is, if I would need parts later on, what are my option besides going to gotrax or Amazon store for parts or accessories that I might want or need? Will gotrax be around for the next couple of years? Will I be able to find parts for that specific scooter in the future?

I ordered it Monday from Walmart and it arrived Wednesday. It appeared fully charged right out of the box. I weigh 115 lbs. I was just driving it around several blocks to get use to the brakes, turning, and understanding gauge. I got the speed up to 19 mph a short distance trying to watch the speed and the road. I rode it till was down to one bar on charge gauge. Took 3-4 hours to charge fully. When red light turned green I disconnected with full charge. This evening just a short time out with it as it’s been windy here today and I didn’t want to fight against the wind. I watched mph I got to 18 mph then it was jumping from 18 to 19 . I did it without any problem and drove 20 mph a half of a block. And the street is rather rough and not smooth I have to watch I don’t ride down any creases and several areas of loose pea size and med size asphalt and or rocks in some places on either side from some road work because of water pipe leaks. I really like having the back foot brake using it first and barely touch the front brake unless I use both to come to a complete stop. Too I noticed that it will cruise like having a cruise control. I let off speed button and it was cruising at 17mph until I tapped the back break. There is no mileage meter so I do not know how many miles I’m driving. I didn’t drive much several blocks repeatedly 3 times. One street block rather rough so I didn’t go over 14mph on it. Light weight easy to carry and I’m as mentioned above a light weight and also live on second floor and walk up flight of stairs. All weekend I viewed KZread videos and sites comparing , reading the ratings on the Hover 1 electric fold able seated and this Gotrax GXL 1Commuter Scooter. Both Amazon and Walmart adverted same price at $299. But come Monday morning there was not any Gotrax GXL 1 Commuter on either site. Walmart only listed at $298. gotrax gxl scooter V2 and also Amazon’s site. I freaked I wanted to have the back pedal break and seen so much more information on gxl 1 than the V2 (Version 2). So I called Gotrax and asked what’s deal did GXL get discontinued. They replied “No” and would check Amazon and Walmart sites. Well Amazon having some problems and doesn’t have it plus neither when I called both . I did get one response Walmart “It maybe back ordered “ not... Another glitch Gotrax called back 5 hours later told me It’s back on Walmart site and listed but not on Amazon (only V2) . I could of gotten it same price from gotrax but extra warranty is only 1 year with them as I purchased 5 year through Walmart. I’m thrilled with my Gotrax as the Hover weights 50 lbs. I even went out purchased a dolly if I had chosen a Hover. I only wish the diameter had mileage driven. I’m sure with my weight I’ll be getting close to 12 miles full charge maybe more but there’s no way to find out. My advice is Go For It and Get It ! This video here really helped me decide which to purchase as seen on road and off road here. I didn’t get off road it’s very near by but we’ve had a lot of ran and ground is soft and still some spots with water standing in grassy areas unseen til, to late ( that’s walking).

I just got one and I'm amazed. 15 Miles per hour in a few seconds. Definitely get a helmet as you want to twist and turn on this thing, it's very maneuverable. Now my wife and everyone I know wants to ride it. I let them, then tell them to buy one and give mine back.Great scooter and revue. Watch out for the rocks though, I just got my first flat, but it's only an inner tube. Well worth the amount of fun I've had so far. PhilVS

What brand is your / helmet? I really like how that one looks and wouldn’t mind then wearing a helmet all the time. Looked on eBay and Amazon I see some similar but is not at all like one your wearing and the ratings and complaints on sizing and being overly loose. Thank post name brand or link ! no there's no regen braking... at least i don't believe there is. honestly it really wouldn't matter for something like this anyway. regen braking only gets like 3 to 6 percent recharge of the from the energy. the bigger the motor and the vehicle the more efficient it is, so for something like this it probably wouldn't help too much anyway.

ya of course, Kenny! it's sometimes difficult to do that because of the time involved, but i definitely do it whenever i can! i was glad to see the real world mileage was pretty close to the advertised mileage. but honesty, and i know i say this a lot, the best way to judge mileage is simply by the watt hours... mainly because there are so many variables that go into real world mileage like rider weight, rider style, terrain, etc.

Is it just the display at the top that needs to be kept dry, or do I need to worry about the wheels/deck area as well?

@@kennymendez3812 i think this should be fine in a light rain so long as it's not pouring and you're not going through any huge puddles. riding in the rain is more dangerous though because of traction issues so just be careful!

You forgot to hold your power button for five seconds to turn off the scooter while you we're in the store? That alone will drain the battery? I have the white gxl and ride in second gear everywhere. I have reached speeds of 18 mph on flat surfaces, and close to warp speeds going downhill.

surprisingly soft actually because of the pneumatic tires. that's one of the things about solid tires is it can be a bit jarring over the cracks, but this one is pretty smooth even without actual suspension

I really would like to get one. I just want to know the amount of mileage you get on a full charge, I bet you said it in the vid, but I don’t got time to look for that, sry and please reply.

Back fender broke off only thing holding it is back brake cable. What do I do ? I purchased a 5 year warranty from Walmart . Walmart store says only 15 day warranty. The 5 year be Allstate. Anyone deal with warranty from Walmart. I purchased scooter off Walmart.com ? I had great time and continue 20mph and such till this ordeal hitting a bump. I wasn’t going 20mph when I hit bump I weigh 113 purchased March 2019. Help ! Please!

thanks, runsin! i don't recall what the weight limit is off the top of my head but i weigh 185 and carry about 25 pounds of gear with me and it seemed like it was handling that weight pretty well.

Is anyone familiar with the HVB glx ? Is it the same scooter as this or is it just a change of name. The specs on the HVB lists Samsung batteries yet I haven't heard a thing in regards to the gotta? The HVB IS BRITISH based.

the pneumatic tires actually offer a fair amount of suspension. compared to other electric scooters i've tested that have suspension coupled with honeycomb tires, this one actually feels like a smoother ride.
