Give Yourself to the Dark Side - CarPro DarkSide Application & 2 Week Update

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is a follow up to my initial video of actually applying it to an actual car that is driven and exposed to the elements. I also have a 2 week follow up on how it is holding up. In this 2 week time frame it has been exposed to multiple rain storms as well.

I use PERL on most cars but it would be nice to offer a longer duration tire sealant. Dark Side looks rich and deep on the Impala tires and the application appears to be pretty easy. I like the finish in that it looks very even with no blotchy spots. If it lasts six weeks on a daily driver it’s a winner in my book. Thanks for the demo on this new product.

This is hands down. The best product for tires. The longevity through snow short rain all of the above.I was pretty surprised at How long it last And I don't wipe off.I just let it dry for 15 minutes and it does not sling.

Looks great on those tires. Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, with tire dresiings, the look can vary with different tire brands.

I absolutely love Carpro Darkside, from the name straight to durability and the looks also the scent, it's amazing for me, I used Perl but not satisfied in terms of durability, also used Cartec Vinyl, but its a silicone based. This is my fav tire dressing so far.

Oh and one thing I recommend don't wipe the excess, let it dry In, and don't drive for 3-4 hours, also heating the tire a little before application will give you A LOT more durability

Hey, I really appreciate the vid. I've been looking for exactly this type of product. I've been using Matt's tire dressing from Obsessed Garage and was looking for something that last a little longer with a more even sheen. Just ordered a 500 ml bottle for 20 bucks, instead of the liter size just to try out.

This dressing is great but won't wash off. Looks like the clean hands tire shine applicator from Work Stuff will contain the mess from this solvent based dressing.

Thank you for the detailed video. I just bought Darkside and retyre. Do either of them stain the garage floor and/or pavers. I just bought a brand new house Thank you.

Darkside probably will but you are not spraying it onto the tire so you are ok. I have not used retyre in a long time but I don't recall any staining from it.

I used Darkside on my car the key is to wait some hours then wipe it and clean it again with an powerwasher. I will see how long it lasts on my tires CarPro says 3 months , if it lasts at least 1 and half it's ok , can't apply PERL every week. Applying tireshine is the biggest chore.
