Give Jaleel McLaughlin a Chance

Спорт

Denver Broncos undrafted rookie running back Jaleel McLaughlin wasn’t given many chances growing up.
The ones he was? He made the most of them.

    This video deserves wayyyyy more views, its shocking that the Broncos are not using Jaleel and Marvin Mims more when they have done the most with the least amount of opportunities given

    After last week Payton said he was gunna expand his role. But after seeing how fast he was and how shifty he was that he hadn't been playing yet.

    Sean Peyton doesn't like to put his rookies in a big role early in the season no matter how good they are, he prefers to let them get a feel and grow over time... He learned from Reggie Bush

    So happy I'm watching this after he helped me win in fantasy. People be thinkin "hard work beats talent" is a cliche but this man embodies that mentality. This just gives me another reason to root for the guy and after his performances the past two weeks, the broncos would be foolish to not play him more.

    I grew up with Jaleel from Elementary School up until he moved away in high school , we played rec basketball together went to the same Middle School as well , Jaleel lived in Spring Lake NC throughout his life as well , his mother didn’t just work in spring lake they lived 2 doors down from me and we used to play basketball outside up until the street lights came on. You hit key points about where he is from but you can’t leave out Spring Lake he left a mark there as well , and the whole spring lake community supports him. Jaleel is a Brother to me and I stay in contact with him and his family. He was playing AAU and Rec before I even started basketball , I started when I was 12 that should tell you that he has been around Spring Lake for a min , all of the reporters always leave spring lake out of it but it was a big mark in his life growing up Trust me

    Thanks for the clarification man. As you said the reporters always leave it out which is probably why my research missed the detail. Shoutout to Spring Lake!

    @@MisappointedI watched Jaleel play football in high school. I'm a former graduate of Forest Hills(1990) and I never miss a game. He's a great young man. Unfortunately during his high school days he didn't have a great coach here at FH which didn't help matters. He earned his scholarship basically on his own hard work. Thankfully we have a new coach here and we're back to our winning ways. Wish Jaleel could have played for our new coach I think he would've gotten more looks from major Universities.

    If Jaleel was 5' 10" and 200 lbs with those stats, he'd be much more sought after. But look at Barry Sanders. If he can bulk up a bit more, he's a star in the making. Dude is legit.

    Denver was smart enough to put McLaughlin on the roster, and they gave him a lot of playing time early on. He did well in the first couple games, but then Denver scaled back on his PT. If Denver isn't going to use him more next year, I hope he can sign with someone who will. I'm a Youngstown State alum, and it was always cool to see Jaleel in a Penguin uniform. On those many plays that he burst through the LOS, you knew no one would ever catch him. Go Penguins!

    im a total believer, but somehow i have feeling that the broncos coaching staff will treat him like a lindsey 2.0, letting him fill him when other are injured, but even when the other bigger backs are worse than him, they will get the bulk of the opportunity and thus wasting his prime years right now

  • @DontActuallyWannaDie

    @DontActuallyWannaDie

    8 ай бұрын

    He's a bright spot, but saying he's the only one is a stretch. Wilson is a top 5 QB right now, Marvin Mims Jr and Lil'Jordan Humphrey are starting caliber receivers, we have good defensive players (Surtain, Turner-Yell, Jackson, etc) and a good defense in general only being held back by an awful defensive coordinator, and we have a Hall of Fame headcoach. If we get rid of Joseph, or somehow he actually gets good at his job, we're playoff bound. Even if it's not this year, it's next year. We've got talent, we just have to get rid of this terrible losing culture that seems to make the players give up.
