Great video once again. To all my fellow Reaper users: Yes we have a Mix knob on every plugin and they’re fantastic, however…. 1) in the mix they require Opening every plugin to use them. Not ideal. 2) using a traditional Send/Return technique as in this video lays everything out in front of you 3) you can blend at individual track fader, the send, and the receive and fine tune your processing. 4) all of that is Pushing Into the processing (pre-compression/saturation) whereas the wet/dry in the reaper plugin is blending the Post processing with the dry. 5) even better than the mix knob in Reaper is CSI. I have an X-Touch and 3 Extenders, so 32-faders of 100mm blending bliss: channels, busses, parallels all at your fingertips rather than mouse clicks If you’re at all a Michael Brauerizer, then this technique is second nature.

Hey Ryan, I dig that old Ward/Beck VU meter... how are you sending audio to it? If I remember correctly, they had those old tie-line type screw inputs? Are you sending a summed signal or just one mono? Thanks, and keep up the excellent work!
