Girls Trip to Seoul, Korea | strolling down Myeondong Street | end spring | Korean Skincare

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my channel.
Today, I’m super excited to share our spontaneous trip to Korea during the girls’ summer holiday from May 20th to 25th.
My amazing husband decided to surprise us with this last-minute trip, and everything came together so quickly!
We flew with AirAsia from Kuala Lumpur to Incheon Airport.
The total cost for the four of us was around RM5000, which was quite affordable.
My husband had to join us a day later due to a work meeting, so it was just me and the girls on this adventure.
Our flight departed around 10:50 PM Malaysia time and we were set to arrive in Incheon at 6:30 AM local time.
The flight was quite full with both Koreans and Malaysians.
AirAsia’s seats are a bit small and uncomfortable, and there’s no USB port to charge your phone or in-flight entertainment.
But hey, you get what you pay for, right?
None of us could sleep due to the uncomfortable seats.
To pass the time, I ordered a sandwich and a watermelon latte, which was so sweet it could probably give me diabetes!
We landed at Incheon at 6 AM local time, greeted by a cool 15 degrees Celsius.
The immigration queue was long because many flights had arrived at the same time.
A quick tip: make sure to apply for the K-ETA before coming here, and kids under 18 need to fill out an arrival form.
After about 1.5 hours in the queue, we finally exited the airport.
The first thing I needed was coffee since I hadn’t slept at all.
I tried an iced Americano at Tiamo Coffee near the arrival exit.
It was perfect, not too strong.
Then, we took the airport train to Seoul Station.
I can’t remember the exact fare, but it was around 20000 KRW for all of us. We chose the non-stop train, which took just 45 minutes and offered breathtaking views.
From Seoul Station, we switched to Line 4 and got off at Myeongdong Station, just two stops away.
Navigating the train system in Korea is easy, even if you don’t speak Korean. Google Translate is a lifesaver, and Koreans are very helpful.
We arrived at Days Hotel Myeongdong around 10 AM, but they didn’t allow us to check in early.
So, we left our bags and started exploring Myeongdong Street, which is just behind the hotel.
This location is perfect for shopping!
We were super hungry and found a halal restaurant nearby. The portions were big but a bit pricey, costing us around 90000 KRW.
The taste was just okay.
If you have a sweet tooth, don’t forget to try the sugar-coated fresh fruits available on the streets.
Myeongdong is huge with lots of shops offering K-pop merchandise, cute stuff, skincare, clothes, food, and more.
My girls had a blast since we don’t have such shops in Malaysia.
Prices vary, some are cheap and some are expensive.
Most places prefer cards, but small street shops prefer cash, so always have some on hand.
One of my highlights was visiting Olive Young.
I spent almost an hour there, buying lots of skincare products which are much cheaper than in Malaysia.
Korean skincare is fantastic and works well for my skin.
After a whole day of walking and shopping, we were exhausted and headed back to the hotel to rest.
Tomorrow is another long day, so stay tuned for Part 2 of our Korea trip!
