Girls in ICT at Reykjavik University
Reykjavik University, SKY (The Icelandic Computer Association) and SI (Federation of Icelandic Industries) organised the annual Girls in ICT day at RU recently. Around 400 girls from the East of Iceland and the greater Reykjavik area visited RU and nearly 20 tech companies. The aim is to interest girls in technology studies and jobs within the sector, to introduce them to industry role-models, break down stereotypes and show them the versatility inherent in this field of study.

Wouldn't expect much from a user with a video on "how to lose weight in ... days" or an "Austrian painter", but well, take it from someone educated with a university degree in linguistics: many languages do carry many sexist traits which very much result from socialization and sexist structures. Go read a book, or if you find incapable of doing so, go hammer your head with a book, hopefully you’ll get a concussion and save the world some very much needed resources.
It was my dream to come live in Iceland unfortunately I got stuck in Germany 😄
