This album is truly a fairytale. I paid it dust when I was younger but as I got older I learned to appreciate the whole album.

56:48 first appearance of SONE (Sowon) in the lyrics of a song. I heard originally that Honey was supposed to be the fandom name but after Genie (which also has the line "tell me your wish" as the Korean title) SM changed plans and Sone became the fandom name

Fun fact about Kissing You: So Kissing You was the second single from the album and they had gotten nominated on Music Bank one time, but they had gotten into a car accident so in order to make their performance, they had to run a mile from their car to Music Bank, where they were set to perform and they made it, literally performed before the winner was announced and won number one, and they cried. By the time they had the repackage of this album out, the girls had 15 wins on music shows, which was an excellent way to start their career. Honestly, when I first got into Soshi in 2013, it wasn’t my favorite album, but then during the pandemic, i was really in a Soshi mode every once in a while, so after watching their Into The New World concert on KZread after studying, I’ve grown to love their debut album and era. My favorite song from the album is “Merry Go Round” but i do remember listening to “Tinkerbell” when i was down on repeat. It’s just a fun album to heal your inner child to.

Kangta btw is a member of SM's first ever boy group, H.O.T. (a first gen bg) He is the main vocalist of the group.

One thing i love about 2nd gen SM groups, they served us with amazing ballad tracks on their first full albums.

As you go through, you'll love SNSD for their ballads so deeply. I really appreciate you doing this ultra deep dives.

The way I still remember all of the lyrics to all of the songs 😂😭 I really did discover SNSD at a formative time of my life. This album brings back so many memories from those days. Wait until you hear Complete live 🥲 every time I hear Complete I can't help but mouth the fanchant like a moron 😂 Oh you have so much to look forward to! They all improve so much (but especially Seohyun and Hyoyeon) Yuri has a gorgeous tone. Something about Mina's tone reminds me of Yuri. Maybe that's why I'm drawn to her voice so much Beginning is one of my all. time. favourite Soshi B sides. Still on my playlist after all this time 😂

The guy in 7989 is Kangta from SM's first boy group, H.O.T. The title is like that because Kangta was born in 1979 and Taeyeon is 1989.

This is also one of my most fave album from them. I still can vividly remember listening to these songs ways back 2015. When I started falling in love to them. Brings so many memories.

sigh...can't help but tear up when Complete came on. It's THE fansong. SNSD's song for themselves and sones. When they were still 9, in concerts, they will form a circle and sing Complete. Then after the bridge part, they would hold hands and stay quiet for a bit, before singing the last chorus/climax part. After what happened, I don't think they sang this song as much (or at all).

I've seen them all !!!😁 Like you said, I also felt 'Earth Wind And Fire' in 'Kissing You'. Also, thank you for bringing up 'Beginning', which has been overlooked and has been unfairly evaluated!!! I think this album is a great album that truly represents the name 'Girls' Generation'. I can feel their youth, dedication, and passion!!! Considering that the album was created by the girls when they were 16 to 18 years old, their singing ability and expressiveness are amazing and I'm simply moved. That's all. I think you'll do a deep dive on their next album, and I think you'll be surprised by the variety of Girls' Generation's music.
