GG introduced me to kpop in 2009, i was shocked by their synchronized dance and vocals and beautiful legs 😂❤ i’m a girl anyway haha!

This was their introduction to the Japanese market. 9 days after this they were in LA for the first SMTOWN in the US. My first ever kpop concert! It was only $180 and I was on the floor by the stage. They were high fiving us. The stage had no barriers. Best memory ever!

Let me explain this live show,2010825 Korean girl group, Girls’ Generation (Shoujo Jidai in Japan) had a Premium Show case Live at Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo. They performed five songs at the live, including their Japanese debut single, “GENIE”, which goes on sale next month. About 7,000 fans showed up to the group’s debut show, and Sooyoung, who is the most proficient in Japanese, said, “Seeing so many people at our first Japanese live makes me really happy.” Since this was a ticketed event that was earned by purchasing their DVD, an estimated 22,000 fans are expected for the girls’ three performances. The other four songs performed at the event were, “Oh,” “Run Devil Run,” “Into the New World,” and “Gee.” BTW:The girls look so fresh and professional on stage live. It does bring back many good memories to me.💓 For me girls still here, in our Sone hearts,It's already 2023,So happy they still build the communicatin between each other. thank u SNSD. same here, since i watched her as saebyeok in YAMD back in 2009 i started to search about her, discovered Girls Generation and there's no turning back since then

The first time I saw Girls' Generation's performance was in this live video from August 2010. I never thought that I would continue to support Girls' Generation for 13 years. . Actually it was my bias Yoona who introduced me to kpop world and Girls's Generation....and no girl group can surpassed their vocals, visuals, dancing, stage presence and dorkiness....

The girls are sometimes represented as goddesses or angels during their VCRs. I think, it's the image SM Entertainment wanted the girls to have... However, their company couldn't stop SNSD from being a natural comediennes, dorks, and a humble human idols😂 .

It's really emotional to watch this showcase again. I almost forgot this stage, I still remember that time when many anti-fans said that SNSD would be flop in Japan, but this showcase hit them af. I am really miss this era when SNSD promoted in Japan. Although the schedule was fk crazy but they did it because of Sone.

Sooyoung is fluent in Japanese. She was in a duo called Route 0. The other girl is Japanese and they promoted in Japan before she debut as part of SNSD. Seohyun is fluent in Japanese as well. Hyoyeon speaks Chinese. Part of why SNSD is the blueprint of girl groups these days. Except instead of having the members learn the language they just have girls from that country. Not only they learn choreography but also languages to communicate with their fans better.

Became a Yoona fan when I watched her on Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast. Got curious about SNSD because they kept being mentioned on the show and voila! Big SNSD fan, Yoona biased. I suggest watching Hyori’s B&B. You’re gonna love it😊

14:07 Prior to her debut with GG, Sooyoung was in a duo called RouteO that debuted in Japan in 2002, hence she is fluent in Japanese. As I remember, she was the korean representative or winner of something and there is her counterpart from Japan and that's how they were formed.
