Girls Fly 2 is an event primarily for girls to inform girls who
excel in STEM subjects what careers are open to them in aviation and other related fields such as military, police, firefighting, and other goverment agencies for example border patrol, search and rescue, and customs. Free helicopter rides were offered only to girls attending the event. Moms, dads, grand parents and brothers were welcome to attend the event but girls were the target audience with a chance to talk to female pilots, an astronaut, and other female professionals in traditionally male dominated careers.
