@@keyshawnsneed9046 Toni was dating a poor guy named Greg. However, she ended up cheating on him w/ a rich doctor named Clay. Clay proposed to her & she accepted. Toni tells the girls what happened and Joan of course didn't approve. Greg comes over and Joan, thinking Toni broke up w/ him for Clay, accidentally tells him about the engagement. They break up, Toni becomes depressed. Joan takes everyone to Jamaica mainly for toni. However, she tells Toni what really happened. She gets pissed and pretends to sleep w/ Sean, Joan's s*x addict bf. Then later on, while trying to sell Joan's boss Mr. Swedelson a house, Toni TELLS him that Joan's bf is a s*x addict. Then Joan cuts her off and then they make up, this scene

This scene was so sweet and I hated the fact that they did all this to let Joan forgive Toni and then they wrote it where the situation was flipped and Joan didn't get forgiveness and I thought that was kind of hypocritical of them to write it like that. Tony literally begged Joan not to throw away a 24-year friendship just to turn around and actually throw it away herself when Joan messed up. Smh🤦🏽♀️they are both hypocrites to me, because Joan is a hypocrite to treat Tony like this and then turn around and do the same thing but also Tony is a hypocrite to ask for forgiveness about something that she wasn't going to forgive herself. That's honestly why they didn't need to be friends anyway.
@kiarahill4302
3 жыл бұрын
I actually agree with you. I feel like Joan doesn’t deserve that type of treatment cause she literally forgives all of the girlfriends, including Toni for things that honestly she shouldn’t have. Joan had never been mean or selfish till the last season with Toni on it and for her not to even call her back is pretty dramatic

Thank you. It’s crazy the misremembering that goes on but it goes to show you how fake a lot of people are. Everybody ALWAYS excuses Toni when she is by far the worst person on this show. Outside of season 1, she has very few, if any redeeming qualities. She once in a blue moon says or does something good & everyone acting like Toni moved heaven and earth doing the bare minimum! Joan deserved that success and it was terrible how they punished her and forced her to leave the city in shame.

@kiarahill4302

The power of church and singing healed toni and Joan's friendship until the custody hearing of season six which ended it permanently.
I still tear up whenever I see this scene. Powerful! Beautifully done.
I’m going through this right now. I only have one friend, I lost my job, and my online business is failing. If it wasn’t for my family, I would be homeless.
