It doesn't matter it's a lighter or real gun. What matters is showing arms in hand is cool will destroy society just like, Marriage without consulting with parents and two families. Movies show that it's cool to run away and marry, at the end mostly it destroy both of them.
But it's a gun - why ? To look cool. Then that's just being an idiot. You don't make weapons look cool fake or not - there are consequences!

Is it to look cool though it's dumb to use anything resembling a weapon to look cool.
