Por ahí mediados de los noventa en Australia pase por una disqueria había atendiendo chica rubia con ojos muy azules me preguntó si me gustaba la música hispana puso a los gipsy kings preguntaba mucho sobre la letra, "djobi djoba" yo le dije que era (sube y baja) y (bamboleo) que era movimiento de caderas, la música interesa muchísimo sobretodo a las féminas. La música de los gipsy kings no tiene fronteras y gusta en todo el mundo.

@@kayz3947 having said the word habibi doesn't mean the notes are arabic though, it's moorish/andalucian. even the andalucian era, it was the mix of arabs with berbers with south europe(spain) that created such music and culture called andalucian.

Sí, pero las gitanas no sois moras, sois indias de India, en concreto procedeis de la región norteña del Rajastán. Claro que antes de recalar en España pasasteis siglos en Egipto, así pues,es muy posible que hubiese misturanza de culturas antes de llegar a la península Ibérica. Y fue aquí,en nuestra tierra donde surgió el tercer ingrediente (x llamarlo de alguna forma),del flamenco (buena prueba de ello es que en toda Europa hay gitanos, pero en ningún otro país surgió un arte similar al flamenco. Eso sí,en India hay bailes similares, pero lo que realmente hizo surgir este bellísimo arte del flamenco fue la mezcla (o misturanza), de India, Egipto y España.

Felah-Menkub significa campesinos sin tierra/desgraciados....es lo que les pasó a los andaluses tras la conquista castellana sobre Andalusia, que les robaron las tierras y ahí nació el arte para no olvidar sus raíces.
