[Update to the below (July 2022). The final verdict is in. It is NOT by Pergolesi. No way. No one knew Pergolesi's style better than Marvin Paymer. His best survey of what is Pergolesi and what is not is in the book Il Caso Pergolesi. It is in Italian but I assume he wrote it in English. I just got it (July 2022). He gives reasons why the style is not Pergolesi's. I agree. I thought so. Not good enough. I am assuming that Hasse wrote it. More digging could probably provide the final confirmation. I fully understand that so many listeners have appreciated it. I also like it a lot. It is a fantastic flute concerto. But "fantastic" is not an adjective that we ever apply to Pergolesi's music. The main (only?) manuscript seems to be in Stockholm, Sweden. It is attributed to "Pergolese." Pergolesi always signed his name "Pergolesi."] [Original message] Beautiful music. But it is not by Pergolesi. 90% of what is attributed to Pergolesi is not by him. It does not sound like him. PS (7/1/2021) It looks like it is by Johann Adolf Hasse. He has several flute concertos. It does sound pleasantly settecento Neapolitan. But I could never recognize Pergolesi in it. Not good enough. According to M. Paymer-H. Williams, Pergolesi: A Guide to Research, p. 83 no. 214, referring to an article by R. Meylan in Revue de musicologie 49 (1963) 47-60 (no. 47), this work is attributed to Pergolesi in the Breitkopf catalogue (1763, p. 20) but it is Hasse's opus III/ii in numerous manuscripts. Enough said. Hasse, you were good and you had this glamorous wife. But you were no Pergolesi. Leo Depuydt PS My guess is that Breitkopf wanted to make money by attributing the concerto the transcendental Pergolesi.

very nice! at the end of movements, is the flutist playing extra? which would explain why he blends more with the orchestra at the end (I think it's called the tutti). my Pergolesi concerto book doesn't have his extra parts (my version is for flute and piano)

@@claudiobarile Claudio, maestro felicitaciones.!!! Te pregunto algo por favor. Es posible incorporar una cabeza Faulisi a una Yamaha 361 con pie en si o crees q en una flauta de gama intermedia como esa no es conveniente tamaña inversión? Mi 225 SII siento responde mucho mas que la de la serie 300 con cabeza de plata. Ambas fueron rezapatilladas recientemente. No tienen pérdidas o fugas. Lo cierto es que los pianissimos son mas consistentes y sostenibles con la 361, aunque la 225 otorgue mas cuerpo y volumen, sobre todo en el registro grave. Por eso pensaba cambiar de cabeza. Supongo a considerar que el encastre sea perfecto y del mismo largo. En fin, no se si alguien importa Faulisi en el.pais actualmente. Saludos y sigue asi como siempre.

@@jorgemartin5093 puedes hacerlo perfectamente. Proyectarás mejor tu sonido. En cuanto al modo de adquirirla calculo hoy día lo mejor será consultarle a quien viaje a París( y regrese en breve) y así de ese modo pueda traértela, pues, no cuenta con representación en Argentina.
