They're cousins by age, and could call each other that, but Josuke is Jotaro's uncle, and Jolyne's great-uncle. Giorno is more complicated because he has two dads and a mom. In this case, he's Josuke's half-uncle, Jotaro's half-great-uncle, and Jolyne's half-great-great-uncle.

To be fair pucci probably let his guard down bc he was playing with the main cast for the entire mih fight otherwise he could have blitzed all of them before they could even react to the fact that time was accelerating when you really think about it he was being merciful because he could have easily moved in time stop since he controls gravity to its fullest he was also the one bringing time stop down to 2 seconds and he would have been able to shorten it further if he wanted

so why didn't the emporio's shots hit pucci?

Considering Giorno's talent in reading people, I'm fairly certain he'd pick up Jolyne isn't that bad of a person pretty quickly. They may fight, one might win, but I doubt either party is going to be hurt that badly in a one-on-one battle regardless of their respective lineage's histories with one another.

About the knife feat: you have to remember that the whole universe is moving at the same speed as pucci with the exception of living things, so it makes sense that pucci couldnt dodge something going as fast as he is without premeditation.

With GE: Close Fight Stone Free is physically Superior and has Superior Range but GE is more versatile and Giorno has more experience as well With GER: Poor Jolyne

@@Sun-cg6lv that’s if we’re assuming they are fighting eachother with Giorno at the start of part 5 and holy jolyne at the end of part 6 (I think I never checked how long she had stone free) cause giorno has a lot more experience using golden experience for let’s say king crimson fight before he got requiem. He fundamentally understood his ability and how to use it to his advantage so I would say for how experienced they are on using their stand to it’s fullest potential they’re on the same level

I think it comes down to the fact jolyne uses her simple ability creatively but Giorno uses his complex abilities even more creatively

Giorno never uses damage reflection again because there's never another instance of an enemy directly attacking a complete organism Giorno created. Green Day's mold is an indirect attack and there's no reason to use it on Mista when he's pulling out grass. Likewise, there's never a case where life injection or life exhaustion would be useful. Both requires direct contact so Ghiaccio's out because Giorno never directly touched him and once Giorno hit Cioccolata he already won.

I think you aren’t giving the möbius strip enough credit. Her heart was turning inside out at the speed of light (You said it yourself, gravity is ftl+) and she came up with the idea möbius strip in time regardless, before her heart was completely turned inside out. The speed of her heart being inverted>>>>>The speed of Giorno turning into mold. She legit had no time to react and was caught off guard but still managed to do it. She was also floating up into the air. (AKA her death) she had to come up with it AS her heart was going inside out. She was fatally wounded after the punch and had trouble breathing but she still managed to come up with the idea in mere seconds. (Most likely in even less time) C-Moon also literally sent here flying inside a building after the punch to her heart, but she still does it, it’s just on her person. -> Jolynes quick thinking skills, which are mentioned several times throughout part 6. She even managed to hide from C-Moon while doing the entire process and was able to outsmart Pucci shortly after, despite her fatal injuries. (I’m referring to the scene where Jolyne uses her strings to trick Pucci into believing she is in front of him, but she is actually behind him and starts choking him)

Also, why are we only using 1 intelligence feat from each as a basis to determine who is smarter? When it comes to quick thinking, which you guys put a lot of emphasis on, then Jolyne has more consistent feats and even statements backing her up. Rangler praised her quick thinking, Pucci also did in the underworld arc. Jolyne comes up with strategies in mere seconds all the time. Once she knew how sky high’s rods work, she instantly gets the idea to set herself on fire and does so without hesitation. The plane in the underworld arc explodes and she instantly gets the idea to unravel herself as much as possible to hide inside Ermes body. Made in heaven counters Jotaro and Annasuis plan, but Jolyne comes up with a strategy to save Emporio and outsmart Pucci in mere seconds regardless. Aside from that, she also knows how to use stone free as a printer. She was given a print of binary and knew exactly what to do, Emporio only says "you are the printer" basically, and Jolyne already knows what to do without any explanation given to her. She also made a coin derived laxative moments before even meeting Emporio for the first time. She was pulling mini-Walter White chemistry feats already even before she met extremely booksmart characters such as him. There is more but the point is, it’s extremely common for her to do this kind of stuff. In fact, it’s more common for her than it is for Giorno. Also, I consider Pucci to be smarter than Giorno and Jolyne is able to outsmart the former on several occasions. That doesn’t necessarily mean that Jolyne is smarter than Giorno, but it definitely tells me that she has a great chance at outsmarting him. IMO: Giorno is smarter in terms of basic IQ + Knowledge. Jolyne is smarter in terms of quick thinking skills and Battle IQ.

So, one big disadvantage for Giorno tho (witch kinda works with Josuke too I think) is that Giorno can only use his abilities with his fists. He states in the notorious B.I.G fight that if he doesn’t get his hand back, he will not be able to heal anymore. This can be a B.I.G game changer if you think about it like, Jolyne can still turn herself into string and such without her fists while Giorno’s (self healing at least) will be thrown out of the match in a second if she cuts of his fists. And as said Jolyne can (even if it’s out of character) probably cut off limbs like butter. So it’s probably more even if she can figure that out, and even if she’s really intelligent, that’s still a really big if.

I think giorno would underestimate how powerful jolyne can be since jolyne out of all the JoJo’s I’d say is the most extreme in terms of do or die as she’s been shown to actively get set on fire to defeat someone so I think her tenacity combined with her power wouldn’t win her the fight against giorno but would surprisingly cause a draw

Jolyne hitting Pucci with a knife isn’t an outlier. How Made in Heaven works is that it speeds up everything in the universe, aside from organisms (not including himself). Pucci can only move as fast as time is being accelerated. Remember the scene where the guy let’s go of the cup, and it immediately reappears broken at the ground? The knife Jolyne threw was moving at that exact speed. At the speed of Pucci. It’s not a plot hole that it managed to connect with Pucci.

Pretty much right. The only thing is the knife would've been going even faster since Stone free was throwing it with its strength. If it was going the same speed as Pucci then he would've been able to react much more cleanly and not be injured like he was.

I adore this vid, But I wanna Give Jolyne some other options she can use her strings for!. 1 She can use her strings to reinforce her body, Stand stats wise GE is Weaker than SF. Meaning if she could reinforce her body and manage to not leave any open wounds she could easily out protect GE 2 If she does what she did with Pucci and have a close quartered battle in handcuffs. She could outspeed or manage to hold off against Him. 3 She has fighting feats without SF. Well its said she knows how to fight and defend herself, so self defense Abilities even without her stand she could use those as well.

I know this is off topic but the reason why king crimson has a side stand named epitaph is because the band king crimson has a song called epitaph

It's weird to me to see them as different things, as Epitaph is an essential part in the stand's function. Epitaph is more akin to an ability than a seperate Stand or Sub-Stand

@Bruh Name his content on vs battles are the definition of lazy and doesn’t really try to answer the question using any form of scaling. Which is sad because people that actually do the leg work and put in the time to scale characters to actually come to a conclusion go under appreciated, and he only got a lot of views on those videos because he made them at the right time. Literally every single JoJo vs battle video he’s done is just him explaining a Stand’s ability and reading out their Stand stats while having JoJo Eyes of Heaven in the background as he’s talking, no scaling because that actually takes effort and therefore is lazy content.

But Power Scaling is not really supposed to be a thing in JoJo (Well, it is, but only up to an extent) Stands all have very different capabilities that play out and interact with the world differently. In this example, so much would depend on various factors outside of just the powers. Also, the powers of Stands are not really quantifiable.

@@Max_G4 This comment is old but I'd like to address this. Any character in JoJo of course has attack potency, durability and speed. Stands like Star Platinum being the strongest physical stand out of all of them. Now there is a way to scale characters in JoJo of course power isn't the everything here, but you can try and scale a character's intelligence and their ability to think on the fly, similar to what Jobber Godot did here with Giorno. Since most of these sorts of environmental factors all rely on a character's intelligence and their ability to think on the fly. Where I'd say power would matter is a Stand at least being able to keep up or even hurt the other Stand you're putting it up against, otherwise there really isn't a win condition here as no matter what they think up it just won't hurt the Stand. I'm not saying its the easiest thing to do here as since its not very clear cut when it comes to JoJo because of how heavily it relies on strategy. I also don't know what you mean by quantifiable in that last part unless you're making a no limits fallacy with Stands.

Giorno cannot turn people into animals or affect their life span (sans Bruno), so the insta-kill life-span ability is moot.

On GE’s drug attack I’d (out of body exp) I’d say it’s sort of like a one target the world with an enemy drawback, you get like a couple seconds to deal some damage to an opponent, and then they should logically feel exhausted after having so much energy, it’s like eating a mcdonalds cookies and cream milkshake to then one of those hard candies your grandma has had for 50 years.

I personally like Giorno's powerset, but I feel somethings need to be pointed out. The damage reflection is a little unreliable because you need to rely on the animals you summon to use this power, and I don't think that Giorno can control them. He even says that he was lucky with the frog coming back to him with Luca, and when he was doing the lighter test and he made a snake, he had to rely on it doing what an actual snake would do, not control it himself. Now if he threw a rock and transformed it in mid air, and that was struck, would make this power more manageable. I personally think that life exhaustion, and life shot are the same thing, it's just that the power works differently on whatever it's used on. I could be wrong on this, so feel free to disagree. Life shot also has more to it than just slowing people down, it also enhances all of their senses, including their sense of pain. Bruno thought he would die if he took the another pinch to the face again. It would take only a couple of these to kill just about anyone.

I don't really see the sides here. On one side, you argue that cutting off people's limds with her strings would be out of character for Jolyne and that's why you don't factor them in, but in the next moment, you say that Giorno would win, if he used all of his abilities, mention that it would be out of character for him, but still factor them in. Also, this whole quantifying of Stand power isn't really right, as Stands' abilities can only be quantified up to a certain extent and it heavily depends on the user and the enemy. Quantification of Stand power is like the antithesis of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. You guys just look at the powers and how "strong" they are, without really thinking about how they would use them or avoid the others'. Jojo has many situations where stands whose abilities are more on the weaker side can win against people whose abilities are on the stronger side (Hell, even without Stands, you can take Part 2 as an example of it all), all through clever use of their ability. And just taking in one intelligent feat of the characters and using that as a basis to say one is smarter than the other is also weird to me.

This video was really cool, and I think I agree that Giorno wins mostly because of the trigonometry feat. Also a Jolyne feat I wish was brought up was during the Under World fight where Jolyne and Hermès came up with and executed the plan to save the kids WHILE the plane was exploding. I still feel that the trigonometry feat is superior because of the math involved. In general I feel the difference between Jolyne and Giorno's big brain moments is where Giono is more calculative, Jolyne is more intuitive. Like I head cannon that Jolyne made the mobius strip by "Accident" as in she made it because her subconscious was like "Shit I gotta think of something, uuuhh how about this?" And then a few moments later she was like "Oh that's right it's called a Mobius Strip or something." Idk that's all I got, in future fights I hope you use the airplane feat at least for Hermès because it shows her speed and intelligence is comparable to Jolyne. Great job and this was a fun discussion!

Personally, I'd go for Jolyne over Gio Gio. From what I've seen (at least in the anime), Jolyne is shown doing much more in the way of directly fighting and overpowering her opponents, to the point that even Pucci is afraid of fighting her head-on. Giorno is strong, but his abilities serve more utility roles than straight fighting roles.

That’s what I’m saying. Imagine this, Pucci was in much better shape than Jolyne but he didn’t want to fight her head on with C-Moon anymore because of her möbius strips. He had to play it safe by waiting for his opportunity. (referring to when he gets a gun and shoots her) People never give her credit for that. I mean, C-Moon is one of the few stands, which are referred as "invincible" and Pucci still didn’t take his chances because of how cunning and skilled Jolyne is.

@@DronkoDfish Yes, but the mobius strip still takes away stamina especially if you have to create several of them and even hold on to them, which Jolyne had to do for a few chapters. C-Moons punches are also shown to make Jolyne bleed, so they still damage her at least slightly, even though Jolyne creates the mobius strip in those moments

@@GreyZCrimson C-moons own physical punches are carried by the force of gravity and is able to kill or one shot people with it’s gravity that’s where it’s main power lies and the Möbius strip specifically countered it. Cmoons own punches without gravity assisting it are probably around the level of Moody blues punches since it’s mainly gravity that carries Cmoons strength. While the mobius strip works as a good counter to Cmoon it won’t have the same affect against something like Giornos damage reflection

How would mobius strips nullify life giver? They nullified Pucci's inversion thing because mobius strips only have one surface and cannot be inverted, but they are still objects. Also, Giorno can't use life giver on her body anyway, since its a living organism, and he can only use life giver on non-living objects. I'm guessing you're talking about life shot (where all your senses go haywire) and that would work just fine, mobius strips don't affect that either.

Let’s be real I think Giorno obviously wins even though Jolyne is one of my favorite MC’s but I gotta say looking through the video 2x already but Giorno has 3 moves possibly able too end the fight instantly and other move that makes him recover lost limbs or organs that’s some broken moveset and let’s not forget that Giorno is smart as hell man was doing trigonometry within a fragment of a moment I mean like what type of shit is this and I didn’t wanna bring this up because Giorno is definitely gonna stomp Jolyne if he “Were” to use Requiem and if he did then that’s definitely claps but that’s not the case overall I’m going with Giorno winning let’s be real I know for some of you people Jolyne is you’re waifu but this isn’t the time too side with her without an actual argument or some other bullshit excuse yeah but my answer Giorno Giovanna!!!!

So just throwing out a theory as to why Giorno only uses the life cycle ability the one time. So from what I've seen in the anime (at least in the Black Sabbath fight) it takes a few seconds of prolonged contact with an object for that object to go through it's life cycle. I most cases Giorno can't guarantee that prolonged contact needed for them to go through they're whole life cycle, hence it's absence for most of the series. Keep in mind I could be wrong about this sence I'm going from memory alone and haven't re-watched/fact checked anything. Thought I would throw it out there tho just to get people think about it.

lemme be clear to say just because a charecters lightspeed doesnt mean they always react at lightspeed lets take the goku example so krillin threw rock at goku it wasnt slow nore was it fast so goku being goku either has 2 options move out the way before the rock even floats into the air or litterally feel nothing as if a tissue was on him but instead he stood there and he got hurt or just like he felt pain now this was an extremely small rock as well so this goes to show that not all people are consistent to how fast they are at peak if that was so then every human would be able to dodge bullet cause weve been able to percieve much faster and some humans can actually dodge bullets so the pucci feat for jolyne is only because he thought she was dead and was also taking a moment to realize what hes finally acomplished now i do agree that jolyne is lightspeed tho

i came back to this video cause part 6 is just so good and i actually think jolyne could win cause jolyne is just a way better fighter shes certainly the best hand to hand fighter as a joestar with a stand excluding joseph with this she could overpower giorno and ge as jolyne herself can hit ge cause you know her stand is apart of her body but this just depends on if jolyne is swift enough which i think she is based on how well she fought c-moon while injured

Life exhaustion was shown to only affect stuff he creates with life giver, and the fact that Giorno never used it on anything else, kinda shows that it's an only use for it. He didn't make Jolyne and thus shouldn't be able to beat her by those means. Also environment control only takes you so far against an opponent who was able to quickly navigate a rapidly moving and shrinking ocean against an Immeasurably fast moving priest.

I’m saying. Life punch is useless if you can’t even hit your opponent. Jolyne went several chapters without getting tagged by C-Moon and they act like Giorno could just one punch her? 🤣 Superior speed, AP + DC and better hand to hand skills. She would destroy him. She also has more consistent intelligence feats and statements backing her up. I mean, she can outsmart Pucci several times who should be smarter than Giorno, so I don’t understand why they act like Jolyne can’t outsmart here lol

Well at the start of the story we are told that Giorno has only had his stand for a few months, roughly the same time as Jolyne. The reason you can say that Giorno is a prodigy is because the rest of his abilities was discovered and utilized in only a week. Giorno didn’t know about those abilities because he wasn’t in any life or death fights, at least to my knowledge.

To be fair, even though Jolyne had four months, she was in a prison, sometimes even in solitary confinement where she could do nothing but stare at a wall for days on end. Giorno had only a week but he was on the constant move one day after another, so he was forced to learn quickly.

Enya's Justice can create a town with zombies, and Jotaro beats that and Silver Chariot fights a bit weaker compared to that

giorno usually hates saying things twice so it would make sense for him to only se a move once, also using the same non basic move makes yo predictable

I do find it odd that so many people seem to think stands can destroy cities or city blocks. Lifting a piece of construction equipment was considered impressive guys. Most “city block level” stand feats come from non-destructive stands which have a city block ranger or over estimated meteors (meteors that size have struck within recent history, and they could at best mess up a car’s roof).

Giorno: Golden Experience turn those pebbles from the last attack into a bunch of moths! Jolyne: w-wait moths?!? Giorno: yes, now you will be consumed by a bunch of insects, though it’s friendly fire but it should be fine! Jotaro: damn. Dio: damn. Enrico Pucci: Damn. Diavalo: Damn.

gravity inside a blackhole is faster than light thats why light cant escape past a certain point. Gravity is technically faster than light but it gets significantly weaker the farhter away you are. If the entire universe was empty except for 2 objects light years apart they would actually orbit each other bevause there is absolutely nothing else pulling on them if there was something the objects bevause of their distance would be affected incredibly easy because of how weak gravity is at longer distances. Gravity is always affecting you from everything in the universe its just the reason we dont get pulled around everywhere is because of the distance involved

Long comment, but I want to share my 2 cents as to why your Giorno speed scale is inconsistent. "KC is fast enough to react to SC's strike and activate its ability“ Diavolo always has up to 10 seconds of prep time with Epitaph. It’s possible that he used it. He can literally read Polnareff like a book thanks to it and knows when to activate time erasure. He is most likely able to react because he predicted the attack coming. It’s most likely not a reaction speed feat but sorta a prediction / preparation type thing. He anticipated it. That, and time erasure also activates instantly from what we’re shown. Take a look at Bruno vs Diavolo for example. KC can instantly erase time the moment he realises SF‘s fist hitting him from his blind spot. Time erasure activation time >>>>>> SC attack speed. I’ll go more over it in the next part of my comment why I think KC isn’t relative in speed, and why the ability carries Diavolo. "Polnareff isn’t fast enough to turn around and defend himself" Bro, he is shown to be very wounded and exhausted. The panel before that shows him bleeding heavily and indicates he is out of breath. He is barely able to stand on his feet. (Anime adaptation even shows him breathing heavily) Polnareff was also able to survive for some time, despite not knowing how to counter KC yet. It makes sense for him to be weakened at that point of the fight. The fact that he managed to survive for so long against the guy who attacks you from your blind spot is amazing. Diavolo doesn’t leave his opponents much time to react but Polnareff still survived for so long, which should indicate that they’re not relative at all lol Diavolo even cuts his entire face open and blood was gushing everywhere lmao How do you expect him to react with such injury?? The fight was basically over once Diavolo pushed Polnareff into a corner, which is why Diavolo started his monologue, before using his ability one last time to finish him off. The entire flashback fight is Diavolo spamming his abilities as usual from what we know. Diavolo kept surprise attacking Polnareff. He caught him off guard with his ability and confused him. If you think that makes Diavolo relative in speed, then white snake is also relative to Jotaro, but the truth is, he is not. Both villains caught their enemies by surprise and the heroes didn’t have much time to react. They started a short monologue when they were standing behind them, Polnareff and Jotaro turn around, but get surprise attacked in that instant. Diavolo barely reacts in time to Polnareff in their rematch. (Barely because Diavolo said if he were ANY CLOSER, he would’ve gotten gravely injured instead. And he still got his entire arm sliced open regardless, which shows how he was only able to react late and barely managed to escape a fatal wound, possibly even death) Diavolo also uses his own blood later to blind Polnareff, so that he won’t be able to predict time erasure anymore. He wouldn’t do this if Polnareff his strength and especially his speed wasn’t troublesome. Keep in mind, Polnareff was crippled in the rematch when he nearly blitzed Diavolo. Yes, it’s stated by the latter that SC‘s power hasn’t decreased, but that’s the thing, Power, not speed. Jobber: "They are at least relative in speed" Pucci barely reacts to SP's spear (heavily wounded Pucci btw) Jobber in his Jolyne video: "More proof that Pucci and Jolyne are in the lower ends of MFTL because the former reacted late" "Or one fourth of Jotaro his speed" Diavolo barely reacting to Polnareff: "must be at least relative to him" Pucci barely reacting to SP while crippled: "only one fourth of Jotaro his speed, same can be said for Jolyne" They should be relative to Jotaro according to your own logic lol Honestly, you guys are literally trying your hardest to put Giorno in the MFTL category, even though nothing indicates that he belongs there. Jolyne is MFTL because she is at bare minimum relative if not equal to C-Moon Pucci in speed, who can dodge a spear from SP while heavily injured. Nothing indicates that Diavolo is relative to Polnareff in speed, who is MFTL. Diavolo may or may not be MFTL, but he isn’t implied / shown to be anywhere near Polnareff. He could be in the lower ends of MFTL at best. Sticky fingers isn’t anywhere near KC in speed or AP either. The example you used was a surprise attack. He was literally attacked from his blind spot and only noticed the fist when it made contact. He had no time to react here. Bruno only lands 2 hits on Diavolo. Both are him catching the latter off guard. And you can’t really blame Diavolo. I mean, who expects the guy with a pierced stomach to continue fighting? The fact that Bruno managed to pull this off means that Diavolo was likely toying at that point of the fight because he didn’t even use Epitaph to see Bruno his surprise attack in the future, which is why he got caught off guard in the first place. KC also managed to activate time erasure instantly, while he had SF's fist stuck in his face. The fact that he can activate it in that moment implies that Bruno his surprise attack didn’t damage Diavolo that much. I agree with Bruno > Giorno in speed tho. Giorno got blitzed by KC despite prep time. He is no where near MFTL. As for the topic of the video: Jolyne speedblitzes imo

Obv GER solos but its just base Giorno at the end of part 5 and Jolyne at the end of part 6.

Dio had alot of kids, but only giorno was the ultimate culmination of dio and jonathans best traits, after part 5 ends I think we shouldve seen an adult 25 year old giorno with 10 yrs+ of experience using gold experience requiem, him killing puci to protect the only people seemingly related to him judging by the star birth mark and all of them being jojos would have been poetic

GE has above average speed while Sticky Fingers does have excellent speed

Why do y'all think he can heal instantly his shit takes time to heal himself

Stone free couldn’t even punch through the bars of a prison door, whereas Star Platinum could easily grab and rip apart a similar door. Neither of these stands have any attack with the ability to destroy a city lmao… even destroying a large building is impossible for stone free, without needing hundreds of punches at least. City level is a ridiculous highball. Those meteors she defended against were tiny by the time they reached her; they weren’t even building level.
