Jeice abandoned Burter when he realized they were no match for Goku, Ginyu was already training some regular Frieza soldiers shortly after Guldo, Recoome and Burter died to be their replacements. And nobody gave a flying f*ck when Guldo was killed off by Vegeta. They were not friends, just teammates.

The fact that freeza actually tolerates them show how reliable they are at their jobs

Fun Fact: Guldo used his Time Stopping Powers to Lift Up Girl’s Skirts, Recoome used to be a male ballet dancer which is why he’s so agile, Burter is extremely fast because his abusive mother constantly made him run errands and expected him to be back in absurdly unrealistic timeframes, Jeice used to be a hardcore baseball pitcher which was the origin of his Crusher Ball, and Ginyu used to think switching bodies with the attractive was the move until he realized it does nothing for his strength and intelligence, so he only swaps with strong warriors.

Imagine if they did a canon 5-Way Fusion. Since power levels are multiplied, that'd be 120,000 (Ginyu) x 40,000(3) (Burter, Jeice, Recoome) x 10,000 (Guldo), which would be a whopping *144 trillion* . For comparison, Kid Buu would have been around 30 trillion. If Super didn't exist, they'd be the strongest in the verse lol

That would totally be the case in their spin-off show! Guldo would spend the whole episode (or several episodes) trying to get into the team, and at the end he'd unlock psychic powers in a desperate attempt to save them. The end would have the toughest guy, Recoom, admitting that they'd been wrong about Guldo and asking him to join the squad. Dammit, Toriyama, don't you see how the episodes write themselves?

@@darkmerchant1 Well I would but, there's something very tedious, exasperating after a point of seeing murdering psychos acting like a bunch of grade school kids nonstop and basically fighting for the most primitive of hierarchy positions, and ya their main profession being terminating mostly innocent individuals, I mean, maybe if a few of them had the story depth of being faced with an ultimatum of choosing certain death through defiance or betrayal of ones of people, planet, now that I might watch], you could reasonably ask for a special single run series, maybe 3, 4 episodes or so of their origin stories

DBZ never got that feeling of hopelessness back like you felt in the frieza saga. The ginyu force felt unbeatable and just knowing that frieza was in the wings and even more powerful, that sense of tension was ever present. What a great fucking arc.

That's because future villains weren't handled with a sense of dread. They were handled with a sense of, "That guy's strong. Let's go train until we're stronger." Whereas Frieza spent the entire story arc as a foreboding, insurmountable force of evil and destruction, Cell and Buu never really had that. Even when future villains were mightier than the Z-Fighters, there seemed to always be an immediate answer to that problem other than hopelessness.

@@Kebab_2718 Yeah but with Demon Slayer I feel like the tension is still there. *SPOILERS* We saw Akaza absolutely demolish Rengoku in the Mugen Train Arc, which really set the stage for how powerful Upper Three truly was since we had just seen Giyu handle a Lower Moon like he was nothing (granted, we now know the power difference, but the Twelve Kizuki were always built up as these all-powerful demons). Then Guytaro and Daki, it took the combined efforts of Tanjiro, Tengen (who mind you, got solo'd by Guytaro), Zenitsu, and Inosuke to just BARELY decapitate the both of them. Then, we got the Upper Moon meeting which set the stage for the other Moons, but the main focus seemed to be on Kokushibo, and how his presence was overwhelming. I agree, Gyokko was kinda non threatening (Muichiro obliterated him) though I'm pretty sure Muichiro is in the top Hashira ranks. Hantengu was a good foe, and took Tanjiro's rage to defeat him. (*MANGA FINAL BATTLE SPOILERS*) Now we gonna talk about how Akaza only lost to Giyu and Tanjiro because he gave up and didn't wanna fight anymore? Doma basically killed himself, and Kokushibo- It took the top THREE Hashira plus a demon hybrid just to give him a fight, and he gave up after seeing how ugly he was and etc, Say what you want, but in DB Super we always expect Goku to come and save the day, but the Upper Moon's in Demon Slayer aren't really a joke, them and Muzan just lost to plot if you really think about it. If they weren't so torn by their past lives (or in the case of Muzan and Doma, poisoned and arrogant), they would have DESTROYED the Demon Slayers. That's tension.

In light of Akira Toriyama's passing, revisiting a certified classic. It's telling how unmatched this man was at creating iconic characters that a one-off group of jobbers, just there to be a super sentai parody, manages to be among the most iconic characters in anime. Like, the signature Ginyu Force pose is friggin' *EVERYWHERE* my dudes! You don't see relatively minor villains like Dr. Gero, or Raditz, or Babidi getting a badass theme song in Kai like this. But the Ginyu Force do, because of course they do! Look at these comments, gushing over characters that occupy a microscopic portion of the Dragon Ball saga. Most writers would kill to have One character as beloved as the Ginyu Force, and Toriyama did it so effortlessly, they're not even in the top ten most iconic things Toriyama created! I have my issues with the man and his creative style, but they're immaterial. The man has achieved a kind of immortality most creatives can only aspire to. Only Osamu Tezuka or Kentaro Miura could claim to leave a legacy behind even half as impactful and deep. Grab yourself a chocolate parfait and strike the Pose of Mourning in honor of a veritable icon. Rest in Peace.

I always loved that despite being among the strongest people in the universe (at the time), and being homicidal maniacs, very few people would take the Ginyu Force seriously unless they were getting the shit kicked out of them by the force. Just because of how goofy the Ginyus were all the time, even during fights.

The entire ginyu force has their roles Ginyu: the head of the force Recoome: the tank Burter: sonic the hedgehog Jeice: the pretty boy Guldo: the punching bag AND TOGETHER WE ARE THE BOYS!!!

I'm currently having a huge panic attack because my staff weren't certified to give me my meds this morning. Playing this song on repeat is pretty much the only thing keeping me from completely losing it. Not only that, but I use this song on a regular basis when showering, or doing anything else that isn't mentally stimulating (the combination of ADD and PTSD is a horrible thing to have while having to be in an un- or under-stimulating environment for an extended period of time). Its energetic, bombastic tune is far better than the tune of a much calmer song would be, because I feel like it's more able to get in sync with the emotions I'm feeling, which helps rein them in far better than a song that can't get in sync with my emotions would (that sort of thing just makes me feel like I'm being ignored, which is bad). At the same time, despite being as energetic and bombastic as it is, it isn't aggravating at all, which is why I think it helps me calm down once it reins in my more negative/out-of-control emotions. Thank you.

Saberian Dream bruh no shit. The Pride troopers would literally eat them alive, the difference now is wayyy to big to even say they would do anything to the pride troopers. Hit did a time freeze on jiren and he was able to break out with a bit of effort, but jiren was highly supressed. Recoomes brute force would equal to nothing, same with Jeice. And Burter is like a turtle compared to any of the pride troopers. BUT captain ginyus body change could come in helpful. Imagine if he could capture Jiren, he would be extremely poweful even if it were Jiren in his supressed state.

Yeah I do also like the Ginyu Force a lot better, would be cool to see them come back in the next dragon ball series. But the thing is, the pride troopers are so damn confident, kinda like vegeta. I bet maybe Captain Ginyu could trick one of them into thinking it was a ki attack, and Jiren being his over-confident self would let it bounce of him, before he knows its to late.

The fact that the Ginyus have Halos and are able to keep their physical forms after they died, then were able to visit King Kai’s Planet, that means they have actually done a lot of good in their lives prior to the events at Namek that we never get to see, you may cry now.

Its funny, when you think about it, Guldo was actually the ginyu member who had the most potential to become super strong and over powered. The ability to stop time itself is something that can be almost unrivaled, if he kept getting stronger and training his ability he possibly could stop time for as long as he desired with little to no stamina drain. @Caleb Kent Fun fact: in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot you can revive the Ginyu Force with the Dragon Balls to fight them again and when Gohan talks to them they think he wants to join them and ask him to pose for them so they can judge him. Gohan fails miserably so he has to fight them to show how strong he is and after the fight, Gohan remarks that he should actually brush up on his posing as it might actually be useful in the future.

Sad Fact... They Volunteer to help at Space Orphanages, to help Space Orphans, by donating and help caring for them, Jaice is a Space First Responder whom saved many of lives to honor is deceased sister, as they grew up penniless in Space Australia! Burter was a Veterinarian, Recoom volunteers at a Space retirement home, sends his pay to help his mum who's there, Guido just wanted a friend as he grew up in a broken home. And Captain Ginyu, people not know this... He was a kindly Pastor, whom cards much for his men, and helps little girls learn space ballet.... Oh the shame the Z warriors murdered such good, kind, men whom wanted to make the galaxy a better safer place for kids...

Claiming you’re stronger- realizing you aren’t- handicapping your body before switching then continuing to brag about your strength- not honorable my friend. If Burter and Jeice would have taken goku’s warning and left- that would’ve been honorable and respectful.

I still love the fact that they have their own theme

The best in order of how hard they went 5: Jeice - that crusher ball bar was weak but still 🔥 4: Burter- Sets the flow and pops off 3: Guldo- unironically rips it and goes off 2: Recoome- Sets the stage and has that god flow 1: Ginyu- I only ever see guys like Eminem pop off like this. Ginyu absolutely murders this beat. Shows exactly why he’s the leader 🔥🔥🔥
