In my first grade class we have already read a traditional Gingerbread Man story and then The Ninjabread Man. We made a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast these 2 versions. Whenever we compare and contrast various versions of a story, I always ask my students which version they prefer and The Ninjabread Man won hands down. I really like your writing prompt ideas and will try and incorporate some of these in the next week as on our last week of school before the winter break, we will be making gingerbread houses with real edible materials. Thanks again for all your resources...my school gave each teacher $300 to spend on classroom materials etc. and I have decided to purchase a lot of your curriculum resources as I would prefer to support another teacher than Amazon.

Love the stem ideas and writing pieces. I will incorporate some of these ideas with making a gingerbread man.

We have a Gingerbread Man visit instead of the Elf on the Shelf. He always seems to show up when we are reading our gingerbread stories! He moves around the room and sometimes leaves us challenges to complete. His name is GingerFred. :) We also make "Gingerbread" Houses w/ graham crackers. We try to see who can make a house without gravity winning and causing it to fall. We use icing and lots of candy. Another great book I use as we compare gingerbread stories is The Buttermilk Biscuit Boy.

I was personally confused, but researched further, but there is a Genderbread Man teaching tool that I originally thought was yours. Mamabearapologetics is the purveyor of that product.
