ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee has always known she was fascinated with weather, but it took her a while to realize she wanted to be on television.
Zee was studying meteorology when a professor encouraged her to look into TV. Zee took the advice, landed an internship and fell in love. Just don’t call her a “weather girl.”

Now, if you can convince the ABC to go one step further by adding #TouchScreenTechnology every time you are telling your audience of a severe storm or event, once you touch the screen, an automatic popup process begins, where either a direct line-feed to #Stormchasers opens up, revealing their coverage via video in "Real Time"mode, or a #prerecorded video is downloaded via #KZread onto your studio screen. Can you even begin to imagine how engaging this would take presentation onto the next level. By the way, your speech was impeccable. You did not utter the word "Umm" once.
