Several of these scenes were important to building the side characters. It is a good movie with out them, but would have been better with them. The one earlier explains where the father was during the finale, this explains where the mother went and really... was kinda redeeming for her. Taking the fall for some one like that is only something a truly loving mother would do.

I never new what took the mom so long to get home but this scene made sense.

that's really great for their mom to take the wrap for her girls.

also the quidence place, explains why she killed him, this shows the whole mom, i thinkthe dad just left
