I have been listening to devotional songs from my childhood (for >50 years); this is one of the best. Abida has never looked so beautiful while singing like this celebration song; it is her love for Ali & the Prophet which make this so special. One does not have to a be an Ismaili to admire it, I am not religious at all but I respect all the people who sincerely respect their convictions.

I am Epicopalian. I was kind of spellbound. I notice Princess Zarha Aga Khan in front. If anyone could stop religous hatred it is His Highness the Aga Khan. He is accepted at the highest levels of society. What a great bridge he could between Islam and Christianity.

Im not sufi, im ismaili but WOW wat an AMAZING religion sufi-ism is and abeeda pervin is AMAZING... Ive grown up listening to her and this is amazing...

I am moved, inspirational. She is singing for the 49th Imam. It is very special only if you know Karim Agha Khan is sitting there. You are looking at a lineage which goes far, all the way to Ali & eventually to Mohamad & Allah. Whether I am an atheist or not, does not matter. Connect the dots & you are in the first Century of Islam. Just my admiration for her.

And my dear for your kind information I was born ismaili by birth.And hv been brainwashed in sindhi class that hazar imam is noor Allah.when we grow up and saw all the family activities of them and how ismailies money is gng in whose pockets. I hv been sunni now.so plz I dnt want to hurt any ismaili heart.But u hv to learn search abt your religion then speak to me dear.so heartbreak I was ti hear and see the truth. My parents still follow ismaili. so dnt say I cnt undesrand.

Also I would like to say that, they says that we do not read Quran. Let me clarify them we get Sawab equals to reading 4 times quran daily .. How ?? According to Ahadis, reading Surah Fatiha ( Al Hamd ) you get sawab equals to reading a whole quran & by reading surah Ikhlas 3 times you get sawab of reading whole quran. we Ismailis read 3 times Surah Fatiha and 3 times Surah Ikhlas in our daily prayers so this means we get Sawab equals to reading 4 times Quran daily.

We should all understand... First many of us listen to Junoon and love their songs, but when we come down to stuff like this people go against it. It's very ridiculous. Sometime look into Junoon's songs, they talk about Ali more then any Pakitani artists.

I myself am a Ismaili and i am a big fan of Abida Perveen but after going through all the comments and everything i have got to say one thing, why there is always a discussion about Ismailia religion , ALWAYS! try discussing Taliban! on their video link or someplace but leave us alone, answer to the question above: History tells us that Imam Jaffer Sadiq (A.S.) was blessed with Hazrat Moosa Kazim (A.S.) and Hazrat Ismail (A.S.) we Followed Hazrat Ismail A.S. thats why we are known as Ismailis.

Just because you believe in one religion (or even a branch of Islam) doesn't make you automatically better than everyone else. Allah is the judge of all things, and only He can judge us.

False. We do not pray to the Aga Khan as a human. We pray to Allah and use the wasta of his holy Imams. We don't even use the wasta of Imam as a person, we request his Noor, which is the Noor of the Imam before him all the way back to Imam Ali (s.a.s.) and the Holy Prophet (s.a.s.). And this Imamat did not start with Prophet Muhammad, but goes as far as Prophet Ibrahim (s.a.s) (and Prophet Adam before him). There are several references to this in the Qur'an. "And when Abraham was tested by his Lord with certain commands and he fulfilled them. Then He said: Lo! I appoint you an Imam for mankind.”(Qur’an 2.124). The Prophethood and Imamat usually went together until Prophet Muhammad passed, after which the prophethood was over. Again no point wasting time on hypocrites like you who are so filled with hatred and evil for true Muslims in their heart.

Aadha sach sirf tumhare jaise jhoote ka kaam hai. That aayat was in reference to Pharoah, who was the enemy of Allah and his Prophet Musa (a.s.). We pray to Allah alone, so this does not apply.

The Surah on hypocrites like you is very clear though. "When the Hypocrites come to thee, they say, "We bear witness that thou art indeed the Messenger of Allah." Yea, Allah knoweth that thou art indeed His Messenger, and Allah beareth witness that the Hypocrites are indeed liars. They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: truly evil are their deeds. That is because they believed, then they rejected Faith: So a seal was set on their hearts: therefore they understand not. When thou lookest at them, their exteriors please thee; and when they speak, thou listenest to their words. They are as (worthless as hollow) pieces of timber propped up, (unable to stand on their own). They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies; so beware of them. The curse of Allah be on them! How are they deluded (away from the Truth)!" (Quran 63. 1-4). I can see that you as a hypocrite are of the deluded ones, and I am done. You refuse to see the Truth, for Allah has set a seal on your heart and you do not understand.
