I watched a couple of episodes in the dubbed version because that's what my TV defaulted to. When I realized they had the original German I switched to the subbed, it's ridiculous how much better it is.

Wish Franziska had more screen and script time... I didn't like her character at first, but she really grew on me. Sad that she was always on the sidelines. Congratulations to this actor for her excellent work! And she's very brave for being willing to do scenes without clothing... I'd almost rather die first. (Then again, maybe it'd motivate me to get in better shape. 😅)

she was one of my favorite characters and i felt like she was really cut out of season 3 :( but she's awesome and I'm sure has a bright career ahead for her!

I feel bad for her and Magnus; they were the only main characters out of the teen group to not have a major impact on the story; Jonas and Martha created the unknown, Bartosz is the father of everyone, Mikkel became Michael and Elisabeth became her own grandmother and her own granddaughter.

I thought they had some interesting stuff in the first two seasons. Seeing their whole relationship develop and sharing secrets with each other and discovering time travel, of course Magnus' brother and father go missing so he had some dramtaic moments. But I feel like in the third season they really just forgot about those two. They're just background characters following Jonas/Adam, and the alt young ones just kiss. Really a shame

I disagree to a point about both, they brought sincere love to the series, and also we can catch a lot of details about these characters between the lines, which is more interesting to kind of "look for". Magnus is kind and thoughtful for a teenage boy, considerate of others' feelings. Like when Martha and Catharina fight he makes sure to tell his mom Martha doesn't really mean it that way, then hugs the mom. He lets Martha sleep in his bed to comfort her, he genuinely wants to know Franziska as a person. Also, from the way he bangs the wall when Mikkel disappears we see how he represses emotions, and doesn't talk much about his grief, except some with Martha and Franziska. He follows Franziska, that shows insecurity and curiosity. I think that it's okay to let some characters remain simpler, it doesn't mean they lack depth just that they are different in what they pursue, it's realistic. That being said, I would have loved more scenes with both of them in the show. 😊

English is like a second language for the Germans. Almost every other German that I met in Munich was well-versed with English. So, it is hardly surprising that her English happens to be good...

Most people in Wstern Europe, 30 years old or less, speaks fluent or somehow fluent english. We learn it at school since we are like 6 or 8 till graduation at 18.

WOW, didn't expect Gina to be so fluid and fluent with her English speaking, Brilliant :). Have to say so far, Top 3 English Speakers from Dark cast from what I've seen are in order of fluency would be (1) Gina - this interview proved it lol, EDIT: Just saw a video with Lea van Acken aka Silja and wow, she's almost on par with GIna so now she takes (2) spot pushing Maja Schöne aka Hannah Kahnwald to (3) - definitely shocked me when I heard Maja speak English in a HeyUGuys interview a few years ago with Jördis Triebel aka Katharina Nielsen. Special Mentions go out to Louis Hofman aka Jonas Kahnwald & Lisa Vicari aka Martha Nielsen who's great as well.

Moritz Jahn (who plays Magnus) is also very fluent in English, there is an interview he did with a Portuguese KZreadr a few years ago and his English is exceptional. He also sings and writes music in English too, as opposed to German!

The best part of these interviews is reading the comments of natives from English-speaking countries amazed at foreigners' proficiency. On average, we learn English since a very young age (sometimes 6 or younger, other times at around 10). Not that surprising people speak English well xD

I'm from Brazil and I didn't start learning English when I was a kid (I mean we all have those english class in school but it basically don't teach you the language), I've actually started learning it by myself when I was 16 turning to 17 years old. Now I'm 19 and I still have no proficiency in the language

I wouldn't say that, there are more examples of europeans speaking with the accent from their countries than without it. We don't even need to go very far, Lisa Vikary has got a strong german accent and struggles a bit with vocabulary. The actress who plays Katharina too. I think this one's english is good to an impressive level.

Teachers at school usually teach British English. But we watch TV mostly in American English. Can't hear any Irish accent but I don't have a great ear for these things.

Don't give her shit for a great accent. A lot of Germans spend time in Australia, to a lesser extent the UK, and it sounds like she either watched a lot of US TV shows or spent some time there. It's a nice mix accent and miles better than most of my friends here in Berlin.

they stayed working for Jonas/Adam all the way until Adam was with the God particle in 2053. And the last we see of them is when they go to recruit alt-Martha to Adam's side but young Jonas intervenes by taking Martha to the Origin world

Why is everyone pretending most germans speak fluent english? I dont know where you guys live, but here in Rheinland-Pfalz, most people cant SPEAK english very well. Especially people who are 30+ years old. Reading or listening to english is a different story than actually speaking it.

When you speak in a foreign language u will usually remain heavily influenced by your native language but she somehow overcome this . And we all should know fluency or matery over something can only be attained through perseverance , practice required hard work and the amount of time you are investing in it .
