In two words Auckland New Zealand. ? Too many good foreign to the US bands struggle to make it here. That even goes for RUSH. They were one record away from being entirely ditched by their label. Reference "Caress of Steele". I agree with your question though. Same can be said for many other outstanding talents like the band Of Monsters and Men.

I've turned so many people on to her music! This song actually made it into a car commercial here in the US and I was so happy! Once you've heard her music, you'll never go back!

She's absolutely amazing, I love her songs! She deserves to be more famous, she has really good talent.

Grace Deng my country has like a few celebs and because they’re not with a lot (everyone in the country knows them though) it’s always the same people for everything! I mean the “young” people and the new generation doesn’t like them anymore. I can’t think of one hip new popular artist from my country who is also popular with the younger people

Heard this for the first time on Bok Radio here in Cape Town this morning. Fabulous! This lady is so good! Why on earth have we not heard more of her?

I want to cry I truly want to cry, the amount of females out there who have never got the recognition they deserve is unbelievable. Gin is a phenomenal singer/songwriter I have yet to listen to a bad one, then we have Ivy Levan another absolute stunner and a voice of pure gold a lot of sass and we have a winner, then we move along to LP and this one really pisses me of, because she is female but she don't look it she is known as an Androgynous because she could be either, I really don't care I have yet to buy music because of how someone looks, if that's the criteria for buying your own music there is something wrong with you. LP has got sublime vocals, her mother was an opera singer and boy can Laura reach those notes, Europe absolutely adore her and so do I, her song writing is just out of this world, Then we move onto Elle King who also should be superstar but she says it better than I can she's not America's Sweetheart, no she isn't but by god can she sing, her very famous father is so proud of his daughter but all these women I have mentioned have been called UGLY no their not YOU ARE. I want ear orgasms when I listen to my music I want to either tap my feet, or close my eyes and just listen. The Music Industry allows phenomenal acts like this go and push out bubble gum shit here today gone tomorrow.

Add Devil Doll to that list. House of Pain is a masterclass in smokey, sultry songs. I found her on a Spotify playlist that inc Gin Wigmore, Elle King and (thx for reminding me of her) Ivy Levan.

I saw her at Warped Tour '13 and got her autograph and picture with her! I don't know why she isn't more popular.

Gosh I love her music, why isn't this girl a bigger star now, she was ahead of her time, I remember just a couple years after this a few singers sang in the same style and similar voice but not as good and are now all over the radio....

I just recently discovered her and have been listening to her music on Spotify for a couple of days now. I’m finding myself enjoying all her songs. She’s amazing!

When I first heard this song, it was a hot summer day, and there was nothing to do. My older brother had returned from working at my grandmas and after a few minutes, he decided to let me hear this song. At first when I heard it I thought he was having me listen to some indian music, but I soon found out that is wasn't that at all. Still a good song that holds up well 10 years later.

I found her over a year ago. Love her. She has done tracks on "Mob Doctor" too. I think it is her voice, only special people like us appreciate her voice
