Now THIS was a battle. You could immediately tell both players we’re trying their best. Both Tweek and Riddles both using interesting matchups we haven’t seen before between the two. Great fight. Great set. Great players in general with huge respect for each other. 👍🏻👍🏻

It was cool but unfortunately don't think it would've killed. Riddles definitely held in so even if Tweek did nair dair I think Riddles would've teched/landed on stage. Might've been a bad position though.

It’s great to see how well riddles is doing. I know tweek was on one during summit and was 3-0ing people left and right but it was nice to see riddles starting to settle his place as a top player. I know he’s struggled with it for a while!

It’s so good watching riddles evolution even though it was very close. In those tense moments he did not falter and kept it going. Tweek is a intimidating force but I feel like riddles is on a similar power level at the moment.

Sephiroth has always been a troubling matchup for Kazuya since his range and Kaz lack of mobility makes it really hard to get in at all. Riddles did really well 👍

This sets really illustrates imo how powerful the ability to have consistent Zero to deaths in Smash are. Allows you to overcome all but the worst of matchups. Seph in theory should be able to keep away Kazuya, but doesn’t matter much when you die in one interaction. Which is why I find it so funny when Kazuya mains or defenders downplay this char so much. At least Ferps seems to be honest about the char.

The counterplay isn't consistent enough, and being able to reliable TOD people makes up for Kazuya's other weakness. You can do lows(if you char has good lows), do the DI line mixup, camp and Kazuya can still consistently kill you in one interaction

Similar thing has applied to Icies in Melee and Brawl, when they could kill you off a single grab

No, that wasnt a wavedash. Its a shield flinch animation that only happens when Kazuya hits EWGF on opponent shield.

He obviously doesn't think Riddles is trash, nobody does, he just feels like he could've done better, so he constantly berates himself mid game even when he's winning after doing poorly. That's what I've noticed about him. But their games have been close ever seen Riddles leveled up, Riddles has gotten so much better overall.
